Gary Davidov is the best dog trainer we have ever worked with. Our newest dog Phoebe looked firward to his sessions even more than we did (which hardly seems possible…)! He not only worked expertly with our puppy, but he worked hard with us so we could extend the training at home. He is proficient in different training frameworks and clearly skilled in working with different breeds of dogs (and people ;p). Gary really cares for the dogs entrusted to him, and they can obviously tell. In our case. Phoebe’s positive response to Gary was immediate. There is NOTHING she wouldn’t do for him. We have recommended Gary to many friends and are looking forward to working with him again soon. If you’re wondering if this is the right place for you—don’t hesitate.

Chloe is brilliant! We brought our 6yo rescue to her after other failed attempts with trainers. It was a the last ditch effort- his biting was getting worse, and I couldn’t leash him. Chloe was kind, attentive and knowledgeable. She worked with us and made a plan based on us and our dog. Her plan was doable and our dog responded. He gets better every week. He is not only not biting, he walks on a leash and is learning other useful tricks! Do not hesitate to bring your dogs to her. She is so knowledgeable and practical and truly loves dogs. Thanks to Chloe we get to enjoy our sweet boy again!!

I am writing this to strongly recommend Aspire K9 Academy. Gary, the owner, trained and competed with my dog in agility AKC, CPE, and UKI from Beginners to Masters winning many awards not only for me, but for other dogs he worked with in the San Diego area. All Gary's clients found him to be talented and skillful in working with their particular dog's needs. He taught my dog, Bondi, many skills and because of Gary's involvement, Bondi also earned his TKA (Advanced Trick) title. I can't imagine a trainer more caring of animals. As I look at the website for Aspire K9 Academy, I am sorry that I live in California with my 3 Rottweilers and cannot take advantage of the amazing staff and training/learning opportunities there. I have personally trained with Gary Davydov. He is an amazing trainer and is knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of dog handling. I will speak here only about how he helped me in the sport of agility, but he has also helped me with obedience, tricks, and behavior issues. Best Dog Trainer & Dog Guardian Trainer We’ve Ever Worked With! Gary, the head trainer at Aspire K9 Academy, worked patiently with us over six weekly training sessions to help train our dog, Roxie, on basic obedience skills that helped create a stronger bond with her. Gary employs a positive-only approach built on techniques that reward dogs for desired behaviors. Roxie is very food-motivated, so we are able to use lots of treats-based rewards as well as play and praise, but he can also work with dogs who are motivated more by play or praise over treats. He spent a lot of time talking with us about how to work with Roxie between sessions, and he provided a number of useful recommendations to improve Roxie’s daily life at home, which we implemented and have created a happier, more relaxed dog companion. Gary meets his clients in their journey where they are, so he can start from the basics, or he can work with a dog who already has some developed skills. He gives guardians homework to practice between sessions. Clients and their dogs definitely get more out of this when they are willing to put the time in themselves. Roxie wasn’t great at all of the training scenarios initially, but after getting over the hump of figuring out how to do the tasks, the training became very fun and engaging for us and for her. We live within Gary’s service area, so he met us at our house for the first two sessions and gave us advice on improving Roxie’s home environment, which we took to heart. We me him at the Aspire K9 Academy for subsequent sessions, and Roxie benefited tremendously from the indoor training areas and props, as well as from several outdoor training locations and the ability to do a trail walk with Gary. Roxie is our fourth dog, and we’ve had training from three other trainers at two companies. Gary is by far the best, most positively-focused trainer we’ve encountered! Roxie had so much fun during every training session with Gary that she literally wiggled with joy during the sessions, and she followed Gary out when it was time to go home. We loved working with him so much that we signed up one of our other dogs who already has basic skills to complete six lessons with him, and we plan to conduct follow-up training with Roxie later this year or next year to improve upon the initial training she received.
