It was a difficult decision to send our boy to board and train. The financial investment (thankful for a payment plan) and the time away from him seemed overwhelming to even think about. Honestly, it’s expensive. And there are cheaper options. But he is our baby and the quality of care, ongoing support, and the expected level of communication helped us make our choice. Fast forward 3 weeks. Milo just graduated today and we had to go from graduation to work. We arrived to many things that required our immediate attention. There was no time to acclimate or situate him. We put his AOD bed in the back and gave home his bed command and quickly got to work. (See attached picture of what we saw when we checked on him 🤩) If this is any indication of what we can expect then we are thrilled beyond words. We would love nothing more for him to be with us as much as possible… and it is starting to feel like a reality. Milo is a 10 month old Border Aussie if that gives you any indication of his energy level. Keeping him still for even a minute was nearly impossible. I’m sure as he grows we will need to avail ourselves of the ongoing support AOD promises. But we are so thankful for the good care he received. Natalie was his personal trainer and it was evident that they developed a sweet bond. The daily reports and pictures we received from Natalie and other team members made the time apart easier to manage. Thank you for the work you did with our boy!! We love AOD 🩵 We will update our review after more time with Milo and experience the ongoing support and know what that looks like.

Art of the Dog Canine Academy came to the rescue when our dog Fin was having severe behavioral issues, including aggression towards strangers, territorial behavior, and being extremely protective of our family. After looking at many options, we found that Art of the Dog Canine Academy's service perfectly met our needs. From the first contact to the last day of graduation, the customer service was amazing: dedicated, informative, and resourceful. Fin spent 21 days in the program, and we received timely updates about his lessons and progress. The team even created group chats for updates, which made us feel completely relieved to leave our dog in such good hands. The main surprise came when we brought Fin home. He barks significantly less, acts less aggressive, and, most importantly, he listens. He now understands that "No means No." We really appreciate the tools and the muzzle they provided. The muzzle has been incredibly helpful when socializing him with house visitors; it gives us the assurance that he won't bite, which has significantly reduced the anxiety we used to feel about his potential behavior around strangers.
