Art of the Dog Canine Academy

I cannot recommend Art of the Dog Canine Academy enough! When Opal first started showing aggression at home due to resource guarding, it seemed to come out of nowhere and escalated very quickly. I knew I needed to find a solution, and I needed one fast. After finding Art of the Dog on Google, I scheduled a Zoom consultation with Leah. From our very first conversation, Leah was incredibly understanding, comforting, and patient with me. I was honestly terrified to send Opal to a board-and-train program after hearing so many horror stories about them online. Leah took the time to answer every single one of my questions and concerns, explained the entire program thoroughly, and made sure it was actually going to be the right fit for Opal. From the very beginning, I felt like her safety, comfort, and individual needs were genuinely being taken seriously. The communication throughout Opal’s training was one of my favorite parts of the experience. They sent me the sweetest daily updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while she was away. Opal also has sensitive skin and allergies, and when she developed some hives during her stay, they kept me updated every day with pictures and information about her skin. They were even extremely mindful of making sure she didn’t have any allergic reactions to her vaccines. Those little things meant so much to me and showed me how well they were caring for her. Parras was Opal’s main trainer, and he was absolutely amazing. After meeting him on graduation day, I felt even more confident that I had made the right decision. It was so clear that he truly understood Opal, her personality, and what she needed to be successful. I know he took such great care of her while she was away, and I’m so thankful for the work he put into helping her graduate from the program. The biggest thing I noticed when I brought Opal home was how well she listened to me and how much she understood that she needs to give me her full attention. At the same time, she is still completely herself—my goofy, silly Opal. That balance was so important to me, and seeing her come home with these new skills while still being the dog I love was the best feeling. What I also really appreciate is that their support doesn’t just end at graduation. Art of the Dog has made it clear that they will continue to be there for both Opal and me if we ever need help or have questions moving forward. Knowing that we have that continued support means so much. I’m incredibly grateful to Leah, Parras, and everyone at Art of the Dog for taking such wonderful care of Opal and for helping both of us. Choosing a board-and-train program was a huge decision for me, but I genuinely feel so good about the choice I made. If you’re considering Art of the Dog Canine Academy, especially if you’re nervous about board-and-train programs, I highly recommend giving them a chance. They treated Opal with so much care, patience, and understanding, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience! 🐾❤️

Super awesome place and staff. They build great blocks to work on. I had a mouthy headstrong pit boxer mix, I’m also a truck driver and didn’t have time that it’s required to train her properly. And I’m so glad that i chose these guys. Pinkies trainer Natalie was awesomesauce!!!! From day one to graduation. Everyone is willing to answer questions about anything that you worry about. They sent great daily pictures and videos of my girls progress. And made sure to address any concerns that I had regarding anything they sent me. Including her having a stress hotspot on her paw. They informed me of it and gave information on what they could do for it and keep me updated on that as well as her training progress. She graduated yesterday and they are still reaching out making sure that the transition is smooth and if I needed anything to help make it better. I’m telling you as someone who has trained all my animals until pinkie these are the people you want with your fur babies!! Everyone from the owners down are animal lovers and they treat your baby like it’s their baby.

I received daily updates on my dog while he was at their facility. I also received photos and videos of his training. Victoria was my key contact and she was diligent and reaching out to me and monitoring the rash that he had from the E collar contacts and they replaced them with plutonium ones at no extra charge to me. Juan and the other trainers were very affectionate and enthusiastic from the videos I received. They offer lifetime support, which I’m thankful.
