Argos Dog Training

Our dog Kaia recently completed the Structurally Harmonious 5-Day Board and Train program with Martin, and the experience has been nothing short of life-changing, for both her and us. Kaia is a 5-year-old half frenchie/half Boston terrier, and while she’s always been sweet, she struggled with calming herself down, understanding boundaries, and she gets nervous about her body. After her time with Martin, she has the tools to calm herself down and stay calm. And we have the tools to assist her. She’s happier, more at ease, and as a result, our bond is stronger than ever. We find ourselves taking her more places. Also Martins training techniques naturally are infused in our day to day activities so it been easy and fun to stay on top of the trainings. I’ve always been hesitant about leaving Kaia overnight somewhere, but after meeting Martin, that changed immediately. From our very first interaction, I knew he was the right person for her and someone we could trust. Martin is one of the kindest, most passionate, calm, and genuinely caring people I’ve ever met. Endlessly grateful!!

Martin is extraordinary. He is the third trainer that I have worked with for my very shy, highly reactive 2 year old Papillon. The first trainer threw us out of the program because my puppy was so disruptive and the second trainer only incrementally helped. After a careful assessment, Martin offered a one week boarding intervention and then worked with me to reinforce lessons learned. My dog's leash reactivity has decreased 95% and his barking in the house has decreased substantially by 75% and after just a one week intervention. Martin gave us the skills to continue refining and I am confident that over time, things will continuously improve. Martin exudes calmness and he teaches the dog and the handler to internalize those skills as well. I can't recommend him enough!

What a great experience we have had with Argos Dog Training. Martin was a 10+. He was able to clearly explain his philosophy and made it make sense to my husband and I. Our 6 month old Cane Corso attended the board and train program for a total of 10 days. Martin made us feel very comfortable leaving our new pup for such a long period of time, and when we returned Koda was in perfect condition both physically and mentally. Koda attended the puppy group class as well, so that allowed us to see if Martin's style of communication, interaction with Koda and overall energy was a good match for us. It was!. Koda returned home in between the weeks so we could apply what we learned from the multiple daily videos we were able to watch during his stay. These were essential, as was the recommended reading "become your dog's hero", which I recommend 100%. It prepares you for language and a thought process that maybe very new to most dog owners, including myself-although I have raised many dogs in my life. It also introduces you to the sidekick lease that Martin recommends and trained Koda with. This was a game changer. All though Koda is only 6 months, he is a Corso and takes his guard duties very seriously, so he displayed leash reactivity very early. The sidekick has really allowed my family to walk Koda with confidence, thus enjoyment. Life is busy and we live in a very fast paced, instant gratification world, so commitment to continued training is a mindset. Koda is now 7 months old, we have a great relationship, we focus on communication and allow him to feel secure in our ability to be confident dog owners. This allows Koda to be comfortable with our leadership and relax during walks and social interactions. We highly recommend Martin and Argos Dog training if you are looking for real life training. PS, Koda's favorite part was getting a new Zen bed.
