Our experience with Arcadian Canine was wonderful! Our trainer Dara was very knowledgeable about dog Daisy's behaviors and taught her and us. How to redirect and modify. We had 3 at home sessions, followed by 3 weeks of Daisy going to their amazing boarding facility for intense training, then 3 more at home training sessions. When Daisy was away. We enjoyed watching videos of her training progress and were amazed every day at the things she learned! Prior to training, Daisy was very reactive around other dogs and now we've been taught how to redirect and refocus her. We were taught how to manage her on walks and she no longer pulls on the leash. It was a completely positive experience that I would definitely recommend! Arcadian Canine gave us and our dog the tools and confidence and we will continue to use what we've learned!

Go with Acardian Training if you want a training program tailored to your dog. My Labrador was adopted. The shelter said Bronco was 6, but likely he was much older. He was smart and reasonably well-trained. But he would lunge at and bark vociferously at other dogs. I tried 2 other training programs before finding Arcadian. No results. None of those other programs worked for my dog. In the 5th week of one 6-week course, a dog off-leash attacked my dog (without bloodshed), and again Bronco displayed aggression. So, I needed to find a third training program. I thoroughly explored various dog training programs in Western Washington. One trainer wanted to put my dog—sight unseen-- into his 6-week board and train program. Another 5 weeks. Another 4 weeks. I simply did not want Bronco o be away from me that long. Another website was obviously brokering the services of various trainers. Other trainers looked like franchise programs, with very impressive videos of far-away trainers in Texas, Nova Scotia, New England, Arizona, Florida, etc. Still another trainer proposed to come to my home midday weekdays (useless because there would be no dogs then likely in my neighborhood) for what amounted to a glorified WAGS or Rover dog-walking program at a substantial premium over WAGS or Rover. Other trainers had magnified my reports of any reactivity into full-on aggression to try to push me to buy more expensive plans than were required for my dog. Taylor is very responsive to calls, hands-on, and practical. Heather came for an initial visit, and she had carefully read over a page-and one-half summary of history and notes I had written. I could see quickly that Heather was very experienced with dogs and paid careful attention to what Bronco presented. The programs Arcadian Canine recommended were tailored—so to speak--to my dog and his problem of what seemed to be strong fear-based dog reactivity. The reason I went with Arcadian was the time invested to assess Bronco’s problem. I was impressed by Arcadian was not trying to jam my dog into some kind of pre-set program and by Taylor’s and Heather’s willingness to slightly adjust Arcadian’s programs to meet my dog’s problems and my goals. I settled on a hybrid board and train: a lesson in my neighborhood, 2 weeks in Heather’s care and followup lessons with me in my neighborhood. Heather continued to adapt to Bronco on-the-fly in several ways: 1. She felt it appropriate for Bronco to a shift to 1 lesson before the board, thereby reserving 5 lessons for after the 2-week board. 2. I expressed before a lesson a strong need to work on the Heel. That is what Heather trained me on during the next lesson. That then allowed me to spend a week working with Bronco on that. 3. Heather crafted several videos for me to what on what an owner needs to do with a trained dog. That allowed me to watch what I should be doing in that particular phase of me/Bronco's training. It was easy to see that Bronco was better behaved and calmer after 2 weeks with Heather’s training. I would certainly use Arcadian Canine again, but without all the search time of for training programs in the Seattle area. I highly recommend Arcadian if you want experience tailored to your dog’s issue. For Bronco Arcadian was his 3d training program. And third time’s the charm.

Thank you so much for the care and quick responses and support for our hyper Jack Russell Terrier lab mix. Mia has settled down so much. The training expertise from Makaela in many sessions gave us a feeling that we could have control of our pup in any situation. The suggestions and feedback was spot on each time. We boarded Mia with Tana for three weeks and Mia DID come back with a settled temperament and ability to perform the commands. This from a rescue dog. Mia is growing into a mature family dog with a good life ahead of herself. 5 plus stars for Arcadian Canine!!!!!
