We had in-home training plus sent our sweet but slightly obnoxious French Bulldog off to doggie bootcamp with Heather for 8 days, and honestly, we weren’t sure what to expect. We got back a completely different dog—in the best possible way! He came home calmer, better behaved, and actually listens to us. It was clear that he had received lots of love, attention, and consistent training while he was there. The difference was amazing, and we’re so grateful for the time and effort Heather put into helping him become a more well-mannered version of himself. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and would absolutely recommend Arcadian Canine to anyone who needs a little help with their furry family member. Our sweet (and formerly obnoxious!) We reached out to Arcadian Canine to get help with our older Jack Russell Terrier being reactive and disobedient around our toddler. Mafu's training and guidance was incredibly effective. We'd worked with a number of trainers over the years, but Mafu identified gaps specific to our dog and advised us on everyday practices at home that would build a much stronger foundation for us to progress much further on. We started working with Kaylen shortly after we adopted our pup Pixel, and it was worth every penny. Pixel had separation anxiety when we first brought him home. She helped us build up his self-regulation skills and now, a little over two months later, we're able to leave him on his own for hours without issue. Working with Kaylen would've been worth it for the separation anxiety alone, but she also helped us a ton with basic commands (Pixel didn't know any when we adopted him) and loose leash walking. The way she teaches commands really gets to the fundamentals of how dogs learn, and she gave us a solid foundation to continue working on other skills with him on our own. If you have a new dog and are on the fence about hiring a trainer, just do it! This is the first time we've worked with one, and the difference compared to trying it on your own is like night and day.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about our trainer, Mafu, and Arcadian Canine!!!! We’re still in the middle of our 10-week training program, but I already feel like it’s been life-changing for both me and my Golden Retriever, Goose. Before training, I felt anxious on walks and wasn’t always sure how to help Goose feel successful around other dogs. Mafu has completely changed that. He’s given us both the confidence, understanding, and tools we needed, not just to train, but to truly communicate with each other. Every session leaves me feeling more empowered, and Goose is happier, attentive to me, and so much more confident. It genuinely feels like I have a new dog, but even more importantly, I feel like our bond is stronger than ever. That’s something I’ll always be grateful for. Mafu is incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, patient, and right there by your side giving guidance every step of the way. He celebrates the little wins right alongside you, and you can tell Mafu truly cares about both dog and owner! I also have to thank Taylor for making this journey possible. From the very first phone call after I reached out, he took the time to really listen to what I was hoping for and thoughtfully matched us with the perfect trainer. That level of care says so much about Arcadian Canine as a whole… and the consultation was free!! If you’re wondering whether training is worth it, YES, it is!!! It has been one of the best investments I’ve ever made for Goose and for myself. I’m beyond grateful to Mafu, Taylor, and everyone at Arcadian Canine.
