Private lessons are conducted in your home, at a location you prefer or you can request they be held here at our Canine Training Center. 5 Day School Package
Program details
This one-week day school program is a great value combining daycare with an hour of training with your dog. Our certified dog trainers will be training your dog for an hour each day, which saves you the upfront work. At the point you are ready to begin working with your dog, our dog trainer will go over what the dog has learned and what you need to do to maintain or advance your dogs skills. Benefits: As much upfront work as you would like done is done by our professional dog trainers. This allows the dog to learn faster, and not be held up by any dog training learning curve. This makes training down the road easier on you, the dog owner. Since your dog is our daycare, your hourly training rate is discounted because of the time flexibility it allows Applause Your Paws to schedule these sessions. Your dog will be around the distraction of daycare and the activity at our canine training center, which gives them distractions to learn around. As an additional benefit, your dog will have had exercise and social interactions with other canines throughout the day. This also allows us to really get to know your dog, and know what areas that they need the most training. What is pick-up time?

For our day-school program, drop off is 8-10AM, pick up is 4-6PM. It benefits dogs in this program to be in early and be picked up late so they can enjoy all the benefits of this daycare + training service. Our day school program runs Monday to Friday. We do offer dog-training services (private lessons, group classes, board+train) 7 days a week!

Applause your Paws was recommended to me by a friend for my found dog. I purchased at home training sessions with Felisha and I couldn't be happier. Felisha is truly amazing...a real life dog whisperer! Felisha is very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient (with both dogs and humans). At the beginning of each training session she would ask how Duke is doing and if there is a particular behavior I aimed to correct, which I really appreciated. Felisha even recommended that we have one training session at the dog park since I had yet to take Duke because I didn't know how he'd behave around other dogs. It was very reassuring having Felisha there for his first dog park experience, which he very much enjoyed. I honestly can not thank her enough for how well-behaved Duke has become- even my friends rave about it. Very much looking forward to continuing Duke's training at Applause your Paws and highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their dog trained. My one regret is not knowing about them sooner.

Monika was a great trainer and she made a huge difference with our dog, Winnie. Winnie is a 4 y/o rescue with severe anxiety from a tough life and we had a ton of trouble potty training her and teaching her to walk on a leash. Our expectations were pretty low when we called AYP - we just wanted to get her potty trained and thought anything above that was just wishful thinking. However after just 6 training sessions with Monika, not only is Winnie potty trained, she also walks on a leash, she knows “sit” perfectly, and she has almost mastered “come.” Needless to say our expectations were far exceeded. We did have to do a lot of “homework” with Winnie, but Monika explained everything perfectly and laid it out in a very manageable way. She was full of ideas and suggestions. It was refreshing to work with a true professional, who is also super caring and sweet!

Felisha came to our home for a 60 minute lesson. She was extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. We left the lesson feeling comforted and more confident in how to work with our 3 rescues and preventing aggressive behavior. She is awesome! Grateful to work with her and will do so again!

I recently reached out to trainer Marlene to update her on my dog’s progress based on the plan she gave me after the private session and asked for advice on her barking, especially with our living situation constantly changing which was also an update on the new issues we’d have to work on. I mentioned the health and financial struggles I’ve been going through, which is why I couldn’t continue our private sessions, but once I’m stable, I’m excited to continue our sessions soon I expressed my gratitude for her guidance and help with the plan and exercises. I sent my message but received no response. A few days later, I followed up, but still no reply. Before sending the initial message, I asked if this was still Marlene’s number, and she confirmed it. What’s especially hurtful is that I went through so many health issues last year I wasn’t sure I’d make it into 2025, and I was excited to give her the updates on my dog based on her plan and to continue our private sessions since we got along so well. To not even receive a response or even a simple well-wish for my health, especially when she came to my place and worked with my dog, felt disappointing and very hurtful. I was shocked and disappointed that she didn’t even acknowledge my message, especially given how kind, respectful and genuine it was written with full of gratitude. I thought about calling Applause Your Paws to recommend another trainer for private sessions, but I’ll pass. Plus, this would be the third trainer, considering the first one was unprofessional and flirtatious, asking personal questions and doing nothing more than telling me to hold the treat and let the dog sit. When I complained, applause your paws were nice enough to recommend Marlene, but here I am again having to look for another one.…..
