Apex Retrievers

I was having some issues with my young dog. A good friend suggested I contact Dane. Said he is really a cool guy. So I did. Dane was on his way to the 2023 Master National. He took my call. He was just like my friend described. Very helpful, full of good advice, friendly! Gave me some things to work on. He talked with me over 45 minutes. I explained to him that I was an amateur and enjoy training my own dog. I offered to pay for his advice because I understand that he makes a living doing this. His response to this was that he appreciates the offer but that he wouldn't accept payment. He said that the amateur handler is important to the success of the retriever world. He said that if I have any other questions down the road don't hesitate to contact him. I was super impressed and thought I would share this on his page. Dane sees the big picture. He's a pro and handles himself like a professional. He very easily could have blown me off. Why give advice to a non paying customer?? But he didn't. He took time out of his day to talk with me. I have never met Dane in person but he feels like the type of guy I would become friends with. Next time he is in Colorado I'm going to make it a point to introduce myself in person.
