FirstBarkUsing an e collar doesn't build the trust between you and your dog. It does teach them to fear you though. Not to mention that it's a short cut to training...cheating if you will. The dog isn't obeying commands because they want to please you, they're following commands because they're afraid of being zapped.

We met with Sam with our puppy for the one hour consultation and within less than 5 minutes he had her trained on a couple of basic things! I was shocked it happened so quick! Would highly recommend him to anyone! Can’t wait to get in more training!

After Jordan trained he spent an hour walking us thoroughly through commands and training since we would need to continue the same behaviors to reinforce what he has taught. She is still the same amazing puppy, but obedient. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you Jordan.

I left my dog Sonny Boy with Jordan at K9 for a week to work on a few issues mainly jumping on my great grandchildren while playing with bubbles, taking food from their little hands, jumping to greet guest, and problems with other dogs when walking on leash etc. I can’t praise Jordan enough! My dog learned how to heel which totally resolved the dog walking, he doesn’t bother the kids playing bubbles. Is doing great with the jumping on both kids and guests! We took our 1 year old rescue dog, Cole, who is part border Collie/Golden Retriever to Apex for the 2 week training course. The change was astounding! We can walk him without pulling, he heels, sits and downs. He will sit and stay off leash while we walk away. He is polite when greeting new people and dogs. This was so worth it, as I look at as a (hopefully) 14 year investment in having an obedient dog that is a joy to be around and to be able to take him with us wherever we go! I highly recommend Apex .
