Anna (Childs) Feller K9 Training & Adelhorst Kennels

I absolutely love Adelhorst Kennels! Anna and Jess did such an amazing job with my two golden Doodles! I brought my Winston here initially for the 2 week board and train when he was a year and a half- he was so bad at pulling on the leash and not listening to me. After the board and train he was nearly perfect! We took the advanced classes shortly afterwards to reinforce the training and Winston gets so many compliments everywhere we go 😊 Recently I brought my 5 month old Norbert here to get his manners in order right away- he also had never been leashed until I bought him at 5 months old. He would pull of out his collars so I was having to harness him. So far he’s done the 2 week board and train (still cannot recommend this enough) and no more harness ever! He walks so nicely with a collar now, and for a puppy listens pretty darn well. We are doing the beginner classes next month and we just can’t wait ☺️ Thanks again Anna and Jess for all the work you do! 🙌

I took my almost 3-year-old black lab, Dagger, to Anna for board and train in early March, and we are now going through the beginner class together. When I arrived to pick up Dagger from board and train, Anna did an incredible job teaching me what she taught him, and how to set myself up with the best success going home. After my teaching lesson, Anna brought out Dagger and I was IMMEDITELY blown away. The way he respected Anna, and all the things he learned in his brief time with her, was something I never expected. Being a black lab, he is obviously EXTREMELY high energy, and I was running out of patience with him. I work from home, and he would often get bored, get into things, and telling him “no” didn’t mean much to him. Getting through my workday, without feeling defeated with him and his energy, drained me. After coming back from Anna’s, he was a changed dog. He is still a happy, energetic boy, but the foundation he and Anna were able to build, and now me working to build even more, has been a game changer. The things we can do now, like going to the pet store, and not being a crazy man is beyond my wildest dreams! Our walks are actually enjoyable, as he no longer yanks on the leash, or thinks this is his world, and I am just living in it. He listens better than I ever thought he could. He respects not only the word “no” but also me in a way he never did before. Anna is truly an angel sent from the Heavens above, and I owe her my sanity!! Going to the group class after board and train was also one of my best decisions. I have been able to see Dagger go from a hyper, excited, and sometimes crazy dog when other people and or dogs are around, to him listening to me and being able to be around friends while still being a good boy. Anna is patient, kind, approachable, knowledgeable, and PASSIONATE! All amazing qualities in a dog trainer if you ask me. She loves the dogs she works with and wants YOU to thrive outside of the classroom. She gives you all the tools to be successful, and is always willing to answer questions, if your dog is having any sort of issue after board and train, or during your group classes. I cannot say enough good things about Anna. She has made the rest of Dagger and I’s life together exponentially better, and I cannot wait to watch him continue to grow, while we live our best lives. The only regret I have? Not going to Anna sooner!!!

Anna knows dogs! She's a great trainer of dogs and humans alike. She also has a wonderful support staff. We've just completed 8 weeks of beginner group class, and we're moving on to advanced and doing a private lesson, too. We've learned a lot, but I still have so much to learn from her! I've never had this much fun training a puppy, nor have I ever been this successful and gotten such good results. I can't wait to see where Geordi and I are in another 2 months. I'll be taking every dog I ever have through her program.
