Ann Arbor Dog Training Club

We took our 14 week old puppy here for puppy class and it went pretty well. There's different trainers every week so some are better than others. We didn't learn a lot of new information about training per se, but when they're this young, half of the experience is just about getting them used to new things, people, and other dogs. They do let the pups play off leash for a little, I was told this is the only class they allow it. My main complaint is that they do not divide the puppies up based on size. We brought our shy 6lb havanese to class.. and let's just say that getting run over by a pitbull and a standard poodle puppy didn't exactly warm her up to other dogs. But I will say she seemed to gain some confidence by the last week, especially because the class thinned out considerably. We started with maybe 8 dogs and the last week only 3 showed up. Overall, I'd recommend it for puppy class, it's really cheap compared to other classes I was finding in the AA area.
