Working with John was the best decision we could’ve made for our reactive dog. John’s thoughtful approach helped us understand Willie’s behavior and gave us practical tools to build his confidence and improve his reactions. When we started working with John, Willie was highly reactive — barking, lunging, and clearly stressed. We felt overwhelmed and unsure how to help him. Walks were stressful and we constantly worried about his outburst when he would see another dog. John changed everything. He approached Willie with patience, compassion, and deep understanding. His training gave us clear, realistic steps and the confidence to follow through. Over time, Willie became calmer, more responsive, and much easier to handle. We learned how to identify Willie‘s body language and nonverbal signals that showed us when he was stressed, and when he was learning to cope with his stressors. John was able to use his own dogs, and fellow trainers with their dogs, to help provide us real life scenarios to help Willie work through his issues. I’m incredibly grateful for John’s patience, knowledge, and support. If you’re struggling with a reactive dog, he’s the person you want in your corner.
