I took my pup here and had a membership at one point. The people are super friendly and kind, but do know that you will be advised to use corrective collars if that’s something you’re uncomfortable with. I liked the trainers, they are incredibly skilled with good advice. The reason for my three stars is that I’ve witnessed concerning behaviors that have gone unaddressed. There is a woman who attends regularly with Dobermans and is a prominent Doberman breeder. I repeatedly witnessed her whip her puppy Wrangler with the back of a leash, scream at the dog, throw him down, and force his limbs while he was very obviously shut down. During recalls the dog was so terrified of her that it would refuse to come to her. When I came to the instructor and told her how concerned I was for the puppy, she told me and I quote “Well she’s a horse person so she’s a bit heavy handed.” Nobody did anything to help that poor dog or tell the woman to stop. For this reason I stopped attending, it disturbed me too much to see how much heavy-handedness was tolerated.
