I am truly sorry to hear about your heartbreaking experience and the loss of your beloved dog. The bond we share with our pets is deeply special, and the pain of such a loss is profound. I can only imagine the distress and sorrow you must have felt and still feel, especially under such distressing circumstances. However, I would like to clarify that the situation you’ve described does not align with the practices and experiences at Anderson K9 Training. Over the past 30 years, we have had only two instances where dogs have passed away. One incident occurred off-premises and was handled with full involvement and transparency with the dog's owners. The other unfortunate case involved a dog that developed bloat, a sudden and unforeseeable medical condition that can occur anywhere, anytime, and is not attributable to the care or environment provided. In this latter instance, we acted swiftly, ensuring the dog received immediate emergency veterinary care. The owner's sister, who is a physician, met us at the ER, and we remained fully engaged in the process, ensuring transparent communication throughout. The attending veterinarian confirmed that the bloat was not a result of our actions or services. We took full responsibility for the medical expenses, refunded the cost of the training program, and also covered the costs of cremation, aiming to provide some solace in a moment of unbearable loss. I extend my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dog. It's a situation no pet owner should ever have to face, and my heart goes out to you. Please know that at Anderson K9 Training, we are committed to the well-being and safety of all animals entrusted to our care. The trust placed in us by pet owners is something we value immensely, and we continually strive to uphold the highest standards of care and transparency. While it appears that the distressing experience you recounted did not occur under our supervision, I am profoundly sorry for your loss and the pain you continue to endure. Losing a pet is an incredibly difficult ordeal, and I wish you peace and comfort as you remember your cherished companion.
