Amstel K9

Amstel k9 is amazing. I can not say enough good things about Jessica & what she does. Having a stubborn & high energy breed, then adding on that he came from a rough situation before I got him (resulting in him being extremely timid & extra anxious) the difference I see just after 3 classes is crazy. Her patience & extra help when needed during class def goes above & beyond. I Can’t wait to join another one of her classes after this one!

I just finished a 6 week class with Jessica and am really happy with the results. Teddy is a 12 year old Belgian Malinois that we have been fosting for the last six months while his owner battles some health issues. He was very reactive around other dogs and had very aggressive interactions with other dogs. We didn't dare take him around other dogs. Because of Jessica, Teddy is not as reactive and I can take him for walks with friends and their dogs without him trying to eat the other dog! We still have work to do, but it is really nice to have a dog that is not so reactive.

We first found Jessica through rescue with our foster that had behavioral issues. We were not prepared to handle and modify his behavior, and were growing frustrated and overwhelmed with no clear direction and conflicting recommendations online. When we first spoke to Jessica, it was an instant sigh of relief. She took the time to listen and understand our situation, and gave us the tools and confidence we needed to approach training our foster. She is incredible at problem solving, and is extremely committed to your dog’s success. She has a deep understanding of dog behavior and body language, as well as breed genetics and how to make these predispositions work for you and your dog. We have done the basic obedience course, and have gotten our foster (and our resident dogs) into nose work. They all love it! We could not have gotten our foster to where he is today without her! We are so thankful to have found Jessica and Amstel K9, and can’t wait to continue bringing our resident dogs after our foster finds his forever home. Cannot recommend her enough!

We are so happy we found Jessica! Our Belgian Malinois puppy has been in need of some obedience training to help with his reactivity and being scared of random objects, and after only a few sessions we have noticed a huge difference! Jessica knows what she is doing, and truly cares about all the dogs and gets excited when seeing progress, it’s also a bonus for us that she is familiar with this breed and has worked with them for years! Highly recommend if you need a dog trainer!
