Our previous puppy experiences were rather uneventful given the chill disposition of the English Labrador breed. We went back to the English Labrador well one more time and things were not as easy as before. We were directed to Krys at American K9 and learned that we have a 1 in 50 high energy and driven English Lab. Within minutes our little man dog ~10 weeks was responding to Krys' methods - things we would have never intuitively tried. Seeing this we elected to enroll him in "charm school" and American K9 trained us as well when we picked him up. Our puppy experience since his return home has been a night and day improvement for the better. We run him through the different training drills on a daily basis, and while we are still fine tuning our training - he just continues to get better, and is really adjusting well to the home environment. He has been a joy, and friends and neighbors continue to remark at what a well behaved pup we have. We loved the daily dose of pictures and training videos to see his transformation - and continue to use those to see where we can improve our interactions. A huge thanks to Krys for fitting us into her schedule on short notice, helping with the local vet for puppy shots, and to Natalie who worked wonders with our little guy as his sole (soul) trainer.

We have recently brought home the most amazing English Lab puppy ever from American K9 Labs. Krys and Morgan and the entire team at American K9 have poured so much effort, love and everything they have into this litter of puppies, and it shows in the amazing dogs they are quickly turning into. Krys, Morgan and the team have been spectacular throughout this process, since the day this litter was born, guiding us along the way with all of our questions, allowing us to visit with the mother Lab, as well as opportunities to visit and socialize with the litter once they were born. We also decided to add a two week board and train at the facility for our puppy before bringing her home, which provided amazing results with a head start on our training. Nellie and the training staff have done just an exceptional job in every regard. Highly recommended, a wonderful experience and we cherish our new puppy from American K9 Labs.

My family experienced a traumatic loss of our family dog after several challenging years of serious behavioral problems. We knew we wanted to welcome another dog into our family but reasonably had reservations about breeding practices, temperament, trainability, etc. Fates aligned and we found Krys and Freedom Ranch Labs/American K9. Her dogs are born amazing! And what they aren't born with is supported with excellent training, managed daycare and boarding/daycare combo services. We were given the foundation both genetically and educationally to raise our pup successfully and ease our anxieties and fears. The team at American K9 and Freedom Ranch stand by their dogs, their principles and provide such a rich support system long after their dogs leave the ranch. We're so thankful and appreciative!

We got our little Miss Maggie from Krys at Freedom Ranch Labs when she was 12 weeks old. We first heard about FRL from a friend and met their FRL pup and immediately knew we needed to talk to this breeder. Upon our first phone call, Krys was so compassionate and relatable. She listened, empathized, and spoke with love and expertise about her dogs and what she does. Through serendipitous timing, we met Maggie a few short days later and brought her home. Not only do we have the kindest, gentlest, smartest dog, but we also gained a lifelong partner through FRL where we go for training, questions, support, and care for Maggie. I don’t know how we got so lucky to find this gem, but we couldn’t be happier. Maggie is the perfect addition to our family with three little kids and busy schedules. She is happy to come along and play and happy to lay on our feet and sleep as we work.
