For professional dog training, American Dog Obedience provides the experience needed to successfully train your dog. Your dog stays at our custom dog training boarding school in Norman, Oklahoma – indoors, in a spacious kennel (no, not in a crate) – as s/he learns and plays in large scenic outdoor dog training areas. Owner/trainers' family lives on the rural east Norman property where this licensed kennel facility is located.

Hello Debbie, our program would not address inner-family aggression. I suggest someone knowledgeable coming to your home to work with the people and dogs in your family. It might seem like one dog causing the problems which makes it easy to overlook the other contributing factors. I hope you get the help you need.

Do you train dogs by their breed and behavior problems?
Or do you train the owners with a book to read?
Each dog stays at our boarding school for 3 weeks and work on specific behaviors to enhance family companionship. Hands-on training occurs several times each day with each dog as the individual s/he is. Families are entitled to know what to expect, how long it will take, how much it will cost. There is a hands-on lesson with each family and dog together after 3 weeks. Some behavior problems are not appropriate for this model and we are honest about that when families inquire. Kris is a fantastic dog trainer. Over the past 30 years she has trained 3 of my labs. I was able to incorporate the behaviors all 3 of my labs learned at school into our everyday life. They have all been gentle well behaved dogs. The gift she gives each student dog and owner is a start to a wonderful relationship. I feel like the best part of her program is the “magic” or place. My dogs sit on a carpet when we have company or are eating dinner! Anyone who has labs knows this is a miracle. My lab Gabby and I are choosing to do more training we come for lessons and she is teaching me more. More manners, more fitness, more skills. Most of all she is teaching me how to train my dog. Gabby loves learning more ❤️. This is making my relationship better with Gabby and its giving Gabby more freedom and making her life better. I had heard about the boarding program. Its wonderful. When you leave town your trained dog is welcome to stay and board. When you return you have another lesson and see what new skills your dog has learned. This promotes a lifetime of learning and training.

My dog Bruno is so smart now he can stay at an open gate, paient, doesn't disturb guests and comes back when told. He was never good in public but now I'm looking forward to going out on a walk with him. 100% worth it.
