FirstBarkFarfetched is the doggie playgroup from heaven! Our almost-2yo Staffy goes 3-4 days a week, and comes home happy and spent. I’m not sure how we would have survived her puppyhood without Sam and his team

Amanda Gagnon Dog Training offers Group Classes, Workshops, Private Training Services and more throughout Manhattan 7-days a week. Our training programs are designed to help our clients experience the deep joy that results from a healthy relationship with their dog. We use well-researched techniques that are grounded in scientific evidence and applied in fun and effective ways. Most importantly, we strive to improve the lives of every dog and human who comes through our door. Administrative Office closed Saturday & Sunday, and reachable via email only on Fridays.

How well do you work with middle-age dogs? Our six year old rescue is pretty traumatized and would benefit from one-on-one!
Dogs of ALL ages are welcome in [most] classes and dogs of ANY age can benefit from one-on-one private sessions, if that's what you're looking for. We've helped MANY rescues with varying degrees of trauma over the years! My dog Baci has been going to Amanda Doggy school since she came home from her litter. I still remember her first puppy social I was so worried because she was unvaccinated but they took all the correct measures in ensuring the safety of the puppies. Every since then we have taken multiple classes; group classes and privates with Sam, weekly Adolescent Day school with Gwen and endless adventures at Playgroup. We would have been so lost without the team at AGD, they have help me train and reinforce good dog behavior. Everyone always complements how well behave my dog can be and is really because of the AGD team. I will continue to recommend AGD to anyone who needs help training a dog.

Gwen gave us important tips and tricks on how to train Lola in a way that made sense to her. She individualizes training so it fits for you AND your dog. It’s definitely not a one size fits all situation. She truly cares deeply about your dog and their well-being, and it shows. I highly recommend getting your training through AGDT and Gwen for the absolute best experience for you and your dog.
This place truly helped change me and my dogs relationship for the better! They help humans connect with their dogs in a way that promotes mutual understanding and respect. Not to mention how kind and welcoming everyone is!Learning from these incredible trainers is a true gift. 10/10!
