Alphadog Training Academy

I wish people bringing their dogs to be “trained” here would do their research about what “alpha dog” training entails: dominance-based training methods, including physical punishment and aversive tools, that stem from misapplied wolf behavior theories. I can hear the dogs being trained being yelled at in an abusive manner. I am afraid this facility works with dogs based on punishment only (or at least so it sounds from where I am listening!). I would not have my child being treated like that, which means the same goes for my dog.

I am a neighbor of this Commercial Operation and live in a residential neighborhood. I am on a well for my water as are all of my neighbors. The problem is this business not only trains dogs but boards them as well . The constant barking throughout the day , early eve and on weekends is a nuisance. The traffic for dog daycare at the end of each day and on weekends brings traffic we would otherwise not have because we live on a dead end road with culdasac. I am a business owner that caters to the public and I have a commercial space . I am hopeful my neighbors will join me in asking Ms Byrd to get a Beaufort County and ASPCA certified Commercial facility . The feces and urine are a concern as well with respect to my water .
