Alpha & Omega Working Dogs - Dog Training

People let me tell you about my bestfriend my sweet boy! I rescued my dog who was semi feral at the time after being born outside in rural Texas and homeless. We navigated a lot of obstacles and did a lot of basic training from home however reality was I had a leash reactive dog that hates kids and it was hard to safely train without putting my dog at risk. After taking a suggestion from a friend, I scheduled a consultation with Alpha and Omega. I had already been to several places where their training style did not align with mine as my dog in an athlete and competes in several things and can’t wear an ecollar. Ray listened to my concerns took notes on my goals and was very willing to work with my dog within my comfort zone and training path for dog sports which was very important to me. The training program is lovely and you get a ton for your money weekly one on ones as well as two group classes which worked wonders for my sweet boy. Side note my dog lovingly knows the owners as aunt and uncle and has actually sat in their children’s laps and received praise and love from everyone there. It’s not just a program you join their family. Since joining my dog is now almost ready to graduate and will move on to their off leash program. My dog has gained so much confidence in the program and I have learned so many new ways to be successful with him. I could not have more positive things to say about the family I have joined here and what a support system they have been. Let me add I I also adopted a very under socialized chi mix who I was planning on sending to a board and train there and they actually suggested day camp where she can have a slower approach in the office getting comfortable which is less stressful for her. Which ironically was much cheaper option too try finding somewhere that talks you out of spending money and provides the best care around. Pictured below is my Wednesday sitting in office socializing- 3 months ago she would have been terrified if someone other than my husband and I looked at her. This just goes to show they will always go the extra mile to do what’s appropriate for a dog on an individual basis because my goals were for her to be Less afraid of human interaction. Lastly A&O supports other small businesses and has bill who my dog lovingly knows as “mr bill” (integrity nose worx) working in their building as well we personally take his classes and just went 6/6 on our first trial and took 2nd and 4th place in two events

We trained with Alpha Omega for a little over a year with our 4 year old rescue Penny, and she’s a new woman!! She became aggressive to other dogs and was really difficult to walk- we participated in group reactive classes, basic obedience and 1:1 training sessions weekly. The team here was simply AMAZING. Penny’s individual needs were always a priority- their dedication, love and support really shows. We noticed such a positive change in Penny’s behavior- and how easy redirection can be when you’re paying attention and understand your dogs needs. Once we understood what Penny needed and how to redirect, she was a breeze to walk and completely manageable when coming across other dogs on the walk. The most surprising thing about this training is what I learned about other dogs and their owners. I now have a sharp eye for dog owners who don’t pay much attention to their “good dogs” on walks. I can easily pivot and anticipate what Penny needs in the moment to keep moving calmly in these situations. I also have a better awareness for other dogs passive aggressive behaviors and we avoid silly escalations with ease. Ray, Karli, Madison, and Kash, thank you!!! Alpha Omega is THE BEST!!

Alpha & Omega Working Dogs is the best! We were given an opportunity from Paws Healing Heroes founder, Mark Eberle, to train with the trainers that train his service dogs and we cannot be more grateful. The entire training team does an amazing job teaching me how to train my one-year-old Bernadoodle, Georgia, to be a well-behaved therapy doggie. One day she will provide therapy to my students with autism, learning, and developmental disabilities. Karli, Ray, and the rest of the training team are the most genuine and caring people and they treat you like family! I HIGHLY recommend Alpha and Omega for all of your training needs! As a member of the military who has a medical condition that would benefit from having a service dog, I relentlessly went on a search on how to receive a service dog for my needs. That is when I ran into Mark from Paws Healing Heros who set me up with Alpha and Omega Working Dogs after I received Bernie at 8 weeks old. Bernie's is currently 4 months old and just graduated puppy school, his first stage of becoming a life-changing service dog. Her sharp eye for detail ensured Bernie was mastering every command flawlessly, while his genuine empathy provided a listening ear whenever I needed someone to understand my challenges. This place is AMAZING!!! In December, I finally got my beloved Akita puppy, I was on cloud 9!! Finally I got the dog of my dreams, in addition to the exhaustion and fatigue that comes along with getting a puppy. Unfortunately that following month my husband and I had to fly out of town unexpectedly...what am I gonna do with the dog I thought. Thats when we joined the AO Family in January and came in through their Board and Train program. We could not have made a better decision for our new addition. Since then we have joined the weekly puppy training and daycamp program. The owners, Karli and Ray are amazing and their staff is extremely knowledgeable, caring and professional. They truly treat everyone like family. Our puppy LOVES the entire staff and looks forward to going. If you are reading this review...you need training for your dog.
