Alpha Dog Training

We called on Alpha Dog Training for help with our 2 year old lab, who chewed everything to destruction and showed aggression to the other animals in the house. We had gotten him from a shelter and were told that he got along well with other dogs, but we weren't seeing it. We wanted to keep him, and Alpha Dog really gave us the hope that we could! Marshall came to our house and showed us how to establish who the alpha dog was, as well as how to re-introduce the other animals. He also gave us solutions we hadn't even thought of to solve the chewing problem. We were able to implement these behavior modification tips right away and have already seen a difference. When me and my Husband first met our dog he was friendly, not too energetic, loved people, and was great on the leash. We adopted him from the Human Society. He is a 2 year old black male Chihuahua/Shitzu mix. After the second day of having him at our house we noticed that he had some aggression towards the other dogs that lived at our house. The other dogs that live with us are a 1 year old German Shepard, and a 2 year old Lab/Pointer mix. They belong to my Sister and here Husband who also live at the house. Whenever the other dogs would get within 5 feet from him he would growl and sometimes snatch at them. He was also very territorial being more aggressive barking at guests that came to the house. We hired Marshall to help us with our dog and his aggression towards other dogs and guests who come over to the house. Especially my Husbands 7 year old nephew and 8 year old niece. We didn't want to risk him snatching at one of the kids when they came over. After one hour into our session he taught and showed us what it meant to be our dogs pack leader/Alpha. He also taught us that dogs are dogs and that when people treat dogs more like humans especially with small dogs. That they become overly territorial, possessive, and dominate aggressive especially with kids. This probably being the reason why he was put up for adoption in the first place. At the end of our session Marshall had our dog calm and submissive trusting him more and more. Using calm and assertive techniques. When before he was barking and growling at him and just didn't trust him. Marshall is very professional and knowledgeable about dog behavior and body language. I would highly recommend him to my close family, friends, and anyone with a dog that has aggression and behavior issues. For the affordable price and his guaranteed support it is more than worth it.
