Dear Janine & Nick, It’s me Bobby! I haven’t forgot about you both. Thank you for working with my mom & I. For teaching me all that stuff mom wants me to do. Letting you know things have improved but we still working hard to be better. Not only did you guys help me BUT you have helped my mom to be more firm with me and set boundaries. We contacted Alpha K 9 Dog Training (Janine and Nick) because we just got a Yorkie puppy, and hadn’t trained a puppy in almost 20 years. Their training techniques, kindness, and professionalism was just what we needed. They guided us through potty training, loose leash walking, front door reactivity, and us being able to eat without disruption, within a very short period of time of time. Our pup is a little over 4 months old, and is on his way to being a good dog citizen! Both Janine and Nick are professional, kind, and once you meet them, you feel like you have known them forever! I can't recommend Nick and Janine highly enough. I was scared to walk Nico around my block because he would lunge at squirrels and other dogs. After he pulled me down our steps chasing a squirrel, I had enough and called Janine for leash training. From the first session, Nick and Janine were patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in Nico's progress, not just quick fixes, but real training we could actually understand and repeat at home. Most of our lessons were outside of Eisenhower dog park, where Nico could be exposed to other dogs safely behind the fence. Janine scheduled other dog trainees to meet at the same time as us so Nico could interact with other known dogs, supervised by Nick and Janine. This exposure was crucial to his progress. They also took the time to teach both me and my daughter how to correct Nico's behavior and respond calmly and consistently, so the training didn't stop when the session ended. Now I happily walk Nico anywhere I want to and feel more in control. If you have a reactive dog and are ready to do something about it, Nick and Janine are the team to call.

We can’t say enough positive things about Nick & Janine. From the second we called for our consultation, we knew we could trust them with our dog & that they had his best intentions in mind. We own a 3 year old Newfoundland-poodle mix who started to become reactive toward other dogs while on walks. Through careful training, patience, & trusting in Nick/Janine’s guidance, we have a well behaved boy on our hands who stays by our side during all walks without pulling or becoming interested in other dogs.
