I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Dawn’s work firsthand, and I can confidently say she is an incredible dog trainer. Her patience, knowledge, and genuine passion for helping dogs and their owners really stand out. Dawn takes the time to understand each dog as an individual and creates training plans that truly set them up for success. She communicates clearly with owners, making sure they feel confident and supported every step of the way. What I appreciate most is how much she truly cares—not just about training, but about building strong, lasting relationships between dogs and their people. We just love bringing our pup to the Aloha Dog Academy twice a month with our 14 month old pup. Dawn is extremely knowledgeable about dog behavior and needs, and this has helped us become better pup parents. Our dog gets the socialization and physical exertion that she needs which is so important in her development. We also get to socialize with other dog parents. We would take her more often if scheduling allowed for it! Dawn offers a wide range of classes and for all ages. Thank you, Dawn for providing us with these opportunities! Dawnʻs natural ability with dogs was visible the second she laid eyes on her. Lucy fell for Dawn immediately. My girl was about a year old when I adopted her from the Humane Society, who saw her through an incredible case of Ring Worm, and a complicated recovery with a foster family. When Lucy came home with me, she was skinny, very high energy, and as naughty as a pup her age should be. She loved to chase ferrel Chicken and Kalij. Through Dawnʻs positive approach to training, for both me and Lucy, and after several months of working with her, we together were able to get Lucyʻs attention, stop chasing birds, walk well on a leash, and most importantly have good manners. At the start I seriously questioned my decision to adopting this high energy pup, but now canʻt imagine my life without this funny, loving, popular and very sweet girl. We still have the occasional zoomie and moments of not listening, but thanks to Dawn reminding me about the importance of reinforcement training and engagement, we have a happy life together. Thank you Dawn for getting us there!

My dogs and I have taken several classes at Aloha Dog Academy and would highly recommend it. The classes are small, providing lots of one-to-one attention and instruction. Our favorite is the Trick Class, which we've attended several times; my face hurts from smiling and laughing by the end of every session. My dogs love going there whether it's for a social or a class—once we're on the street, they try to drag me inside! Dawn's fireworks workshop was also outstanding. Her suggestions have really helped my dog, who is severely scared of loud noises. The number one reason I continue to go to Aloha Dog Academy is Dawn's ability to show me how to teach my dogs in a manner that strengthens our bond. The training is always positive, and it works!

Dawn was absolutely amazing! We went in for a consultation with my Aussie and he was super nervous in the beginning but dawn made sure he was comfortable and went at his pace. She had great communication and was super knowledgeable. My family and dog loved her and will definitely be back! Pricing is great and can never recommend enough! She is gentle and teaches based on your dog and their needs and personality. She trains both dogs and people to ensure a long and happy life for everyone. She has plenty of different services that matches everyone’s needs. 🤭🤍
