Hello Serena, I apologize that you had a less than desirable experience. There’s a lot I could say about our interactions with you, and the condition of your puppy, but I won’t do that publicly. There is also quite a bit of misinformation here, I’m assuming in the interest of trying to get a refund. So let me address your issues. <br>No one was rude or misleading, we have all calls recorded for just reasons like this, however I’m sorry you feel that way. We will work on better client communications when we have a dog that is severely stunted developmentally and we are trying to discuss proper expectations of progress. Those are hard conversations to have with owners, and I understand a lot of what Bailey was dealing with, and why she had those issues, was hard for you to hear. So I apologize. <br><br>We also did not give you “vet advice”, you claimed your vet said your puppy needed 5 rounds of vaccinations. That is extremely unhealthy and we tried to offer helpful advice to receive a second opinion. In the interest of helping you, and your puppy’s wellbeing. <br><br>I’m very happy that you went somewhere else and are now satisfied with the results. Of course they were able to make a lot of progress in a very short period of time, not only was Bailey much older but WE did the socialization and obedience foundation. She was exposed to multiple other environments and novel things with us, she did have interactions with other safe dogs, and she did meet new people. As we told you. <br>She also received a proper obedience foundation, which we have video documentation of. A huge part of training being effective is the owners follow through. You never communicated issues to us, and you never came for your 4 follow up lessons that we include with each program. We structure the programs with those lessons for a reason, to make sure the owners are properly trained and the training transfers home. If you don’t show up for follow up lessons, especially if you’re having issues, it makes our ability to support you impossible. We strive to completely support owners after a board and train, if they are willing. <br>Bailey came as a baby puppy, 12 weeks old, for a 2 week puppy program. She was extremely under socialized, had zero foundation for anything, was not crate trained, and had severe behavior issues. If she was not carried, she pancaked and screamed like she was being tortured. As you know, because that’s how you had to drop her off to us. If we put a leash on her she screamed and froze. If we touched her she screamed and froze. She was a shell of a puppy. After 2 weeks she was socialized, happy and outgoing, crate trained, would heel on leash in public spaces and around distractions, knew sit, down, place, and her name. We advise keeping a leash on puppies when they go home to correct any problem behaviors that arise. It’s advice, and just optional for the best outcome. You have not told me what your expectations were, or what part of all that you weren’t satisfied with, or why you didn’t follow through with your lessons and included support, but Bailey made huge strides in the time we were given to work with a severe behavior case. I apologize that you weren’t satisfied, but I am glad that after we did the foundational work you were able to get the results you were looking for somewhere else. I apologize, again, that you were unsatisfied with our program, however you sent a 10 week old puppy for our 2 week Puppy Foundations program, and unbeknownst to anyone, expected her to come home fully off leash trained with 100% reliability. That is not possible and we do not promise those results. I personally had a conversation with you prior to training about realistic expectations. We have videos that document Cookie’s training when she went home. She (ON LEASH or from close proximity) was 100% reliable and had a clear understanding of sit/stay, down/stay, place, heeling, recall, and was fully crate trained. When you sent her you told us that she could not be crated due to severe anxiety and had lived in total freedom her entire life. She had serious fear issues already that we worked through. She went home with 90% less anxiety and fully crate trained. She was also heavily socialized and had proper exposure to new things with us. The criteria that the Puppy Foundations Program advertises was completely fulfilled. <br>You took her home and refused to follow through with training, you refused to change your environment or interactions with her, you refused to use a leash, you refused to use rewards for anything, you refused to do the training exercises we sent home. You did not listen to any of the instruction we gave you in your go-home lesson. You did the opposite of everything we taught you with Cookie. And then complained because she wasn’t 100% off-leash reliable from all distances in all commands, and asked for a refund. You also did this with the last trainer that you sent your older dog to. This is a pattern. <br>I apologized profusely that your expectations weren’t met, and offered more complimentary lessons in which we could work with you and Cookie, and also discuss what realistic expectations look like for her. You did not accept the offer of more lessons and help. You were extremely combative, argumentative, and bullying from the very first communication and it only went downhill. I absolutely will not subject my trainers to that type of behavior from a client. It is inappropriate and unprofessional. Unfortunately, no matter what I offered in terms of help, you made it clear that we are completely unable to work together further. Our training agreement, which you signed, clearly states that maintaining the training results once the dog returns home is the responsibility of the owner. Following through with the training and changes in the dogs lifestyle are imperative to the training being successful. You violated that agreement and we can not provide a refund. Cookie was beautifully trained to the standards of a 10 week old puppy, and we have video documentation available for anyone who would like to see it. <br>I would have loved to be able to help you further and improve your training experience with Cookie, and with All Dogs Training Co., but that has proved to be impossible and there is nothing we can do for you further. We enjoyed working with Cookie and wish her the best.
