All Dog Obedience

We recently adopted a rescue who is very sweet and friendly but was not a fan of other dogs. Going on walks through the neighborhood was not at all relaxing and we couldn't have any dog visitors to the house. She has had the basic training provided by the pet stores in town but socializing was difficult to achieve. I came across Jennifer Schmett's business and she offers something unique. Jennifer takes her time to assess each dog that comes through the door and determines the best course of action to properly introduce, socialize and train each of them. We saw an immediate improvement within the first visit! Our rescue now interacts properly with other dogs and enjoys doing so! She absolutely LOVES going to "school" and is excited to see her friends. Thank you, Jennifer, for bringing your talents and training to Jonesboro.

As a family nurse practitioner working in the ED, I have had the opportunity to see many scenes that frightened me. This week while volunteering at All Dogs Obedience, I was subjected to a situation that scared me as much as the ED. I am a dog person and love helping out at All Dogs Obedience on my off days from the ED. I enjoy loving on all the dogs and helping to socialize the dogs to me as the stranger. There was a new dog on Monday that was simply beautiful. He was a pit bull named Kilo. While not a fan of the breed, I am a fan of helping make all dogs better. Monday was a great dog day with all dogs learning new skills and learning to accept other dogs. On Tuesday, things changed. The pit bull had been good all morning but when a young GoldenDoodle arrived, the pit bull attacked the Doodle and would not let go. He shook the dog and I was close enough to try to pull the dogs apart but could not do so. Jennifer came to my aid and used a maneuver to separate the dogs without anyone getting hurt. Amazingly, the Doodle was not hurt and the the owner of both dogs were notified of the incident. The owner of the pit bull was asked to pick up his dog and was angry as he did not know that his dog was aggressive with other animals. As an eye witness, the pit bull attacked while unprovoked by the Doodle. To protect the other animals from another unprovoked attack, the pit bull can no longer train at All Dogs Obedience. The owner may write a negative review but being an eye witness and volunteer who had to help separate the dogs, I can honestly testify the right decision was made by Jennifer to protect the other dogs trusted to her care.
