About All Breed Rescue & Training
All Breed Rescue & Training is a non-profit rescue and animal training facility in Colorado Springs. We have served the Southern Colorado community for over two decades, rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes for at-risk dogs across the state, as well as providing training and behavior modification services to all levels of dog owners. Note! All of our dogs are in foster homes, not at the facility! Meet them on our website - click "Adopt"! Our training program is relationship based and promotes positive reinforcement, utilizing the most scientifically-sound methods available. With classes ranging from Puppy Socialization through competition level nosework, agility, barnhunt, rally, and conformation, we have a class for you!

What small female dogs are available?
Hi Patricia. Thanks so much for your interest in our dogs. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes in the Colorado Springs area. Hello all, I have a pitbull who is very friendly towards humans, but is frightened by other dogs and turns aggressive and tries to fight them. I am worried because I have a toddler in the home. IM looking for a place or someone who can rehome him.

I have a dog that's possessive and aggressive towards other dogs and people but me, other shelters aren't able to take him in, but I wonder if you have any rehabilitation programs to help or perhaps to find a home where he would be a single dog.

Do you offer any aggressive dog rehabilitation training services? Are there fees if so, and if not would there be any possibility of re homing a dog that doesn't play well with children or other dogs?
My Bo was starting to show some aggressive behaviors. He was elderly. They were able to give some basic changes to keep him and others safe.

I know of a man who is moving over seas and has 2 beautiful huskys that he is trying to rehome, would they be a good breed to train 4 service dogs and who can train them if they were donated for veterans r disabled?
Hi Peggy, each dog is an individual and depending on their personality, ability to perform tasks, trainability etc... can help decide if they are a good candidate. They would need to be evaluated. There are organizations that do accept dog donations. We can give you more information if you call our office at 719-264-6460.

After making the decision to open up our hearts and home to another dog we began the search for a perfect brother to our girl rescue pit. We fell in love with rigatoni instantly. He was the right age, sex, and we loved that he comes from a training center, I filled out an application for adoption on 9/10/24 and eagerly waited for the two week period once the application was filled out to follow up on the application. On 9/24/14 I was then informed by Laura that another application had been filled out before mine. I was invited to check back in, in a few weeks to see if things had progressed with the previous applicants. I wrote back on 9/29/14 for an update and did not receive a response. I reached out again on 10/24/24 because he was still posted on the adoption site. Again Laura responded and said there was applications before mine and asked if I would be willing to do multiple meetings and I replied yes and asked how many applicants are ahead of mine. I still have yet to hear back a response. What upsets me about this is the lack of communication. We love our adopted dog and wanted to provide love and a good home and also provide our dog with a companion. When we saw rigatoni online we instantly fell in love and just had a feeling that he is the right dog for our family. It hurts to put yourself out there and to not get any response in return. I feel like this is a disservice to the animal, the potential adopter, and the whole reason why they are doing this in the first place.

I recently adopted a dog named Oreo from All Breed. I could not be happier with my entire experience. First of all, Oreo has been in the care of All Breed for over 5 years while they have tried to find him a forever home. His dog reactivity has made it difficult for him as he has bounced from foster to foster, but All Breed never gave up on him, and I am grateful to every single person from their community of workers and volunteers who have shown him love during his journey. I feel truly blessed to finally give Oreo the home he deserves, and he has been nothing but wonderful since I brought him home. He's not broken. There's nothing wrong with him. I didn't adopt a problem dog. He just needs help with his reactivity, but apart from that, he is soooo sweet and loving. As part of his adoption, Oreo came with 4 free training classes to help me learn to take care of him as best I can. I was uncomfortable about bringing him back to their facility for training because I was afraid he might think he was being returned again. As a result, someone from All Breed agreed to meet us at another location to ensure his comfort. There is no question of how much dedication, effort and love everybody at All Breed puts into the dogs in their care. I thank my lucky stars every single day that I have Oreo. He is a blessing, and I love him so much.
