All Breed Dog Training

Me and my husband didn't know what to do with our dog Copper. We knew we didn't wanna get rid of him or have him put down. he was barking on car rides, trying to nip and growl at people he knew. Even chased the ups driver out of my husbands work shop. Even had a problem with other dogs sometimes. We go adopted Copper from the shelter back in June so we didn't know his past and what training he had, So we sent him to Stephen for training because we couldn't allow the bad behavior anymore. From the first day to the last day of his training you could see the improvement in not just our dog but also in us his owners because we were given the proper tools. Stephen did such an amazing job. He sends you videos of your dog and shows you that your dog can do it. I highly recommend going to Stephen if your dog needs training.

From Meds and Muzzle to walking like an Angel We were at the end of the rope with our mostly sweet Newfypoo, Smokey. While she was great 97% of the time, her leash aggression was having us consider whether we could keep her or not. We live part-time in Chicago, in a high rise, and the number of people, dogs, and elevator rides was just too much for her! We tried a trainer in the city, and when we hired Stephen, we had put her on meds which just made her tired, nauseous, unable to urinate, but still able to lunge ferociously at another dog, so she was also wearing a muzzle My sister hired Stephen and had life-changing results! So I signed Smokey up for Stephen's two-week program. He really loves dogs and seems to have endless energy to spend in their training. We had essentially given up control of the Smokey ship. He showed us how to show her who’s boss and make her feel safe when we are out. He fitted her with a super strong pinch, and that has made all of the difference. We rarely have to give her a correction. She can walk by most dogs without having a reaction. She looks to us for treats at that time. She is now able to walk nicely in the city, no muzzle, and we even let her off leash at the beach and the park and she comes to us. Stephen is reasonably priced and does a great job!

We rescued a mixed breed dog that spent the first year of his life in a shelter. Booker is a smart, sensitive dog who learns quickly, but had little impulse control, limited experiences and no confidence. Stephen helped us establish boundaries and routine with Booker that have helped him adapt to his new life. He still succumbs to his "puppy" impulses sometimes, but we now have the tools to help him regain control. We are working through some separation anxiety and other fears, but we have only had him for 9 weeks and are very happy with his progress thus far. I can't recommend Stephen's All Breeds Dog Training enough! My 1-year-old English Shepherd, Dandy, is high-drive and sensitive and struggled with reactivity. Dandy would demand bark and whine around people, lunge at dogs, jump up during greetings, and get off leash trying to chase squirrels and livestock. Stephen's 2-week training program brought massive progress. Dandy quickly bonded with him, and Stephen's ability to read dog body language, combined with his praise and rewards, made training enjoyable and effective. By the second week, I was able to take Dandy to crowded places like breweries, where he could relax beside me, and we could calmly pass other dogs. During the graduation day training, we navigated through a pet store filled with distractions, including tight spaces and other dogs, with Dandy staying calm and attentive. We even passed by bikes, kids, and other animals without any issues. Stephen not only improved Dandy’s obedience and socialization, but he also took the time to teach me his methods, giving me the tools to confidently handle any situation. I can now walk Dandy past prey animals, like squirrels, with him in heel, and have him wait in place, sit/stay or down/stay, even when I walk away. These are just a few of the many improvements. What makes Stephen’s program stand out is how he tailors the training to meet your dog's specific needs and your lifestyle. His dedication and personalized approach have transformed my handling of Dandy, and I’m excited to continue using the tools he provided. I highly recommend Stephen and his dog training program!

So grateful to have found Stephen, we tried a different training class that was such a waste of time and money before finding All Breed Dog Training. I highly recommend sending your dog to Stephen, he genuinely cares for each pup he trains, it’s evident in the dog’s behavior towards him. I really appreciated how Stephen took the time to work with us as well, as we too had to learn a bit in terms of training. Our nearly 100lb white German shepherd is listening to our commands MUCH BETTER since Stephen worked with him. It’s hard to find the time to train your own dog with the amount of time that’s necessary to instill the repetitive commands and corresponding behaviors. This is where Stephen comes in, after the two weeks of training it’s just a matter of using the learned commands to ensure our pup continues his good behavior and improved listening skills.
