I highly recommend working with Matt at All Breed Dog Training. His passion for dogs and his upbeat nature makes training sessions fun and easy. He has a tremendous depth of knowledge with extensive experience in correcting negative behaviors in dogs. He teaches so much more than just sit and stay and also educated me on the pros and cons of different training techniques. Matt has been helping me with a 4 year old Pit Bull that I rescued named Belle. Unfortunately Belle was fought, bred, and abandoned. So when I brought her home I knew she was a bit nervous and rough around the edges, but with Matt’s help she is slowly turning into a great family dog.

I highly recommend All Breed Dog Training, Matt is professional, knowledgeable, and extremely skilled in dog handling. He has helped us with both of our very different dogs, a fearful, reactive chihuahua mix and an overzealous, out of control setter. Both dogs are now such a joy to be with all thanks to Matt. I can now walk them both without worrying about their reactions to people and other animals. He can quickly read a dog's behavior and help you correct or eliminate it. He is the best! TL;DR: Matt is amazing and I've already recommended him to several friends. He is the only choice you need to make. However, if you are looking for someone who is going to baby-talk your dog, or "ask them" to do something vs. being firm and giving commands - then he is not for you or your dog. My dog is a sweet mush who started having reactivity issues to other dogs. It became problematic and stressful for us to walk him as Memphis is almost 60 lbs and strong. We also wanted to work on some of his manners. I researched/interviewed several dog trainers and after speaking with Matt, I set up a 1x1 evaluation. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and no-nonsense, which is exactly what I was looking for. Even just the advice that Matt was able to provide during the eval provided me with real results and better ways of handling Mem. After a few 1x1 sessions, I decided to do board and train for Memphis because Matt has the space, the time, and he would be able to work on his "distraction work". I've never left Memphis with a stranger before but Matt sent plenty of progress updates and videos and I felt comfortable knowing that he was well-cared for. His progress with my dog is nothing short of amazing, honestly. We got RESULTS. He ignores other dogs now, which was huge, and he's much more engaged, easier to walk, and less of a "flight risk". Sometimes Matt would send me videos and I was shocked because I could not believe it was the same dog. Matt is also amazing with communication - which is a big deal for me. He's very responsive to all messages and I never felt like I was bothering him with questions. I've picked Memphis up now and we're continuing reinforcing what he's learned but Matt is still in constant contact and checking in on how he's doing making the transition. I am so glad we made the decision to go with Matt. He helped us bring out the best in our dog. An absolute lifesaver. Thanks Matt!
