All Around K9 Training

All Around K9 Training exceeded our expectations. My family and I originally reached out simply looking for a safe, reliable place to board our dogs while we traveled, but finding Gary and his team turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made for our dogs. Gary came to our home for an initial assessment and clearly explained the approach he and his team would use to help our dogs become better listeners and more integrated members of our family. We initially planned to enroll them for two weeks, but thanks to the consistent progress updates and in-home sessions that included our entire family (kids included), the results were so impressive that we extended the program for an additional week. Clay and Jason, the lead trainers, are phenomenal. They treated both of our girls like family while establishing a structured routine and intentionally placing them in environments that challenged their comfort zones. The results speak for themselves. A fair heads-up: some of the training can appear stern at first, but it is always fair, intentional, and absolutely for the benefit of the dog. At no point were the dogs ever harmed or treated unkindly - quite the opposite. The trainers genuinely love what they do and it shows. One moment that will always stick with me was watching 6’3” Jason rolling around in the leaves with Rosie and Olive, helping Rosie overcome her anxiety with the rustling noise. That moment perfectly sums up their approach: firm, fair, and fun. The Results: Our dogs were never “bad” (no biting, aggression, or excessive barking), but they did have behavioral challenges that impacted their quality of life...and ours. Today, they listen exceptionally well and clearly understand expectations. I now feel confident that even my 6-year-old son could walk them (with a little guidance), which was not something I would have been comfortable with before. We’re also far more at ease having them around unfamiliar people, as their anxiety around strangers has dramatically improved. Recommendation: If you’re looking for a training program that truly addresses your dog’s specific needs, I can’t recommend All Around K9 Training enough. At the very least, schedule an initial assessment - Gary or any member of his team will give you an honest, thoughtful evaluation and walk you through how they can help.

I can’t say enough good things about AAK9. They didn’t just “train” my dog, they genuinely brought out the best version of him. I went in hoping for improvement, but the transformation has been on a whole different level. My dog is more confident, calmer, and actually listens without me having to wrestle for his attention. What I appreciated most is that they never made me feel like just another client. They paid attention to the little things, explained the why behind the training, and gave me tools I could actually use at home. You can tell they care about both the dog and the owner. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. This place will change your dog in ways you didn’t even realize were possible.

I did an evaluation with Gary and Clay. I was blown away with how thorough they were with my dog. They ran her through her paces, communicated with me every step of the way, and gave me hope that she can lead a better life! While not having had my dog complete the training yet, I know it works! My mom’s dog has completed the program and sweet Feyre is an entirely new dog. I am excited to have my dog go through All Around K9 training.

To be honest I’m struggling to even write this review right now. I just got my girl back and I’m so overcome with emotions. I am so thankful and so very blessed. Hands down one of the best decisions I have ever made was investing in my dog with All Around K9 Training! The team is filled with an amazing set of honest and dedicated individuals. Gary and Jason were quick to respond to my questions. Jason, was our trainer. I’m so thankful that I was able to experience this journey with him. He made things simple to understand and would paint a picture with his words to help me grasp a concept. (Gary is good at that too) He constantly encouraged me and challenged me. His training, encouragement and commitment to my dog helped me to grow my confidence with her. He believed in me when I didn’t and directed me through my own fears to be better for Feyre. I loved that reactive dog, but I love this new calm, relaxed, well trained dog that I have now even more. The dog you see in the picture I had never met. So blown away that she sat relaxed in the midst of all that going on around her. That picture is a perfect example of what All Around K9 Training can accomplish.
