All About The K-9

My dog, Blue (a 2 year old coonhound/beagle mix), and I have been training at All About the K-9 for a little over a year. We absolutely love Heather! She tailors her classes to focus on real life scenarios to not only help your dog learn to be well-behaved, but also safe. She is very knowledgeable on dog breeds inherent traits and educates the owner on how to effectively train given those traits. Given that my dog is a hound and his inherent trait is to follow scents, I am very hesitant to allow my 6 year old to hold his leash while walking. Blue has been doing such a great job at loose leash walking in class, so I decided to let my daughter try holding the leash. My golden retriever, Archie, and I have been attending classes with Heather at All About the K-9 for nearly two years, and our progress has been amazing. The trainers here really take the time to understand your dog’s personality and customize the training to fit their needs. In fact, Heather often has to hold back from saying hi because Archie gets so excited to see her. We look forward to our classes every week and love applying what we’ve learned outside of class. Thanks to Heather’s expert training, encouragement, and unwavering support, we’ve earned our CGC certification and are progressing each week toward becoming a therapy dog team! If you’re looking to build your dog’s skills, boost their confidence, and train in a supportive, personalized environment, I can’t recommend this place enough!

I've been going to All About The K9 for over 1 1/2 years. Heather has been a great trainer and has the patience of a saint with my reactive dog. My dog started out lunging and barking and could hardly be in the room with other dogs. Now he is able to go through class without disrupting class. He also has learned basic obedience and although not perfect he is 95% better. Heather takes the time to learn about the individual dog and their idiosyncrasies and works with the handler to guide them to effectively use tools to help them succeed. I went to several other training places prior to All About The K9 and didn't feel like they were really interested in helping owners of reactive dogs. Very happy I found Heather.

All About The K-9 is simply the best! We have been taking our two dogs to training for the past year and have had a great experience! The instructors are knowledgeable, helpful, and take the time to get to know each dog. They adapt to your dog’s current strengths and weaknesses and help both the owner and dog progress through training in a positive direction. We appreciate the kind staff who through training are helping us allow our dogs to live their best life!
