Alden's Kennels has moved. During your dog’s stay at Alden’s Kennels, they will receive the utmost care and attention. I left my dogs at the kennel for two full days and picked them up on the third day at 4:30 pm. I was charged for three full days. The dogs were filthy and smelled like they hadn't been bathed in a year. One dog was lame and required xrays and medication to alleviate pain and inflammation in his leg. That was an additional $500.00. The dogs had to go so bad that they relieved themselves on the sidewalk outside of the office as soon as we walked out. The surly owners left me a nasty voicemail for not cleaning it up. I want to know why the dogs hadn't been walked that day. I was charged for an extra walk. I would never subject my dogs to this hellish experience again.

Dear Brenda Smith, We are so sorry to hear you had a bad experience at our facility. The boarding rates are by the day, it is on the contract and the web sites, some facilities do charge by the night we don't, I can see why that would be upsetting if you didn't realize that before you came we understand how you must feel. I don't have any records of Brenda Smith, but I do have Hugh O'Reilly and a young boy came with him to pick up the dogs July 3rd, were you in the truck? Our facility has indoor out door runs for them to relieve themselves plus a nature walk to exercise as an extra you paid for, we were just as embarrassed to have to call and leave a message that stool was left in the driveway when we have scuppers and buckets in several location to make it convenient for owners while they are coming and going, so far everyone has picked up after their pets, this was unusual, but with germs, ,parasites , viruses, everyone has to be diligent, we are sorry this offended you or Mr. O'Reilly. We didn't bath your dog, it didn't have stool or urine on it's coat, but we do offer field trips to the groomer of your choice for grooming on all levels, special shampoos, styling , nails etc. We would have brought them if you wanted that service. Mr. O'Reilly didn't bring up any issue with lameness when the dog was on the leash to the truck or with the dog getting in the vehicle. We did not not see either one of your pets limping or in discomfort. We regret having to call you, and will change that policy immediately. Thank you for bringing your dissatisfaction to our attention, so we can improve our services.
