Absolutely the best dog training program in Alaska! I've been associated with Alaska Dog Works since 2018, when they began helping me train my Australian Shepherd as a service/therapy dog. Now that she is over nine years old, Alaska Dog Works is helping us retire her from service work. If you just got a new puppy and are struggling to train your dog, please call Alaska Dog Works. If you want your puppy to be awesome in public and have strong recall, they will help you prepare for the Canine Good Citizen test. If you need a service dog trained, they are the only program to call! As an airline pilot, I'm gone on long trips and turn to Alaska Dog Works to board my pup and provide refresher training for her retirement. I have peace of mind knowing she is in great hands and that she really enjoys her stays! Training your new puppy is a long-term commitment - you never stop training! This is such a great place!! We’ve done training and board and train with dog works. The patience, knowledge and ongoing support is outstanding. I’ve had dogs my whole life and still learned many new things from them. We left our dog Honey for two weeks while we were out of town. She learned new manners and has maintained those skills. I loved getting the Facebook pics and updates so we could see how she was doing. When leaving you get a lesson and written guidance on how to maintain what your dog learned. I’ve had interactions with both Michelle and Nicole, I love their love for the animals and their no nonsense approach. I would highly recommend working with them if your dog needs training or boarding! 💕

First phone call went great, Michele Forto was very nice. I tried making multiple other phone call appointments after that and never got a call at the times the appointment was set for. Today I tried to make another appointment and again, no call. A few minutes ago i get a call though and its her again, this time she is not nice. She was very nasty and mean to me over the phone, telling me that i made the appointments and never answered and when i tried to explain that i never got the calls she would talk over me and told me that i did get them. She also switched up what she told me over the first phone call appointment so now im just so confused. Mind you i was interested in getting a dog trained for psychiatric service work, meaning i have a psychiatric disability. She kept verbally attacking me so at that point i told her to have a nice day and hung up and then proceeded to have a panic attack due to the way she was talking to me. I just dont understand why anyone would talk to any stranger like that.
