Alan's Canine Training and Kennels

Karen and Alan are in this business for all of the right reasons! They have a passion and love for dogs. They have dogs of their own, they love dogs. and they treat your dogs like they were their own. They have been with us through the lives of 2 beloved dogs, who we have usually been able to take with us when we travel, so they aren't used to being boarded. Their place is a just little bit out in the country, so there is lot's of space and fresh air, and the kennel is kind of open to that, so It doesn't feel closed in for my dogs, which they like, Im sure. I've been Karen's hairstylist for as long as I've had dogs, so I kind of have an inside scoop on life at the facility. I remember one conversation, several years ago. Karen was upset because she noticed that 2 of her staff members were out with a couple of the dogs, and they were conversing with eachother during the dogs' scheduled play time. She was complaining because that time was set aside for special playtime for the dogs, the clients expected their dogs to be played with with, not standing around while the staff chatted. I thought "Wow. That is the definition of good character and ethics when it comes to your business. To do the right thing even when no one is watching." I never forgot that conversation because I respect it so much, which is why I wanted to share it. I just want people to know that Karen and Alan are good people and that is reflected in their business. I may treat my animals like big babies to the point that they are anxious when we have to leave them, but I never have to worry about anything other than them missing me when I'm away. I know they are safe, cared for, and loved. I hope I never have to think about taking my dogs anywhere else!
