I am writing this absolutely heartbroken. On 3/17/26 I trusted Alan’s canine with my senior dog believing she would be safe and cared for instead while under their supervision, she escaped and is still missing. To their credit, they did initially help by posting flyers and making some effort to assist in the search and I do appreciate that, but at the end of the day, none of that changes the fact that this never should have happened in the first place. Alan’s canine training and kennels is located in the country, where risks are even greater- open land, wildlife, and fewer people to spot a lost dog, security and containment should be the absolute top priority. The fact that a senior small dog was able to escape raises serious questions and concerns about how secure and attentive the environment really is. Now I am left dealing with the fear, stress and heartbreak of not knowing where she is or if she is ok. NO pet owner should ever have to go through this after trusting a business to keep their animal safe. Please if you are considering boarding your pet here, ask hard questions about their safety measures and supervision as well as the training of their dog handlers. I would not wish this on anyone. I just want my dog home. Karen’s apology and justification for what happened is insignificant and insulting. Their care was negligent and my dog is gone! I hold Karen, Alan and their incompetent dog handler Felicia responsible for the loss of my dog- sure I’m angry but they have missed the point of how this should have never happened in the first place and how much hurt they have caused. Use this place at your own risk.
