Our NEW 1-Week On-Leash Training Program is designed to teach the essential obedience skills every dog should know—all while remaining on leash. This program focuses on creating clear communication, improving manners, and giving you the tools to continue your dog's training at home. It's the perfect option for puppies, young dogs, or owners who want a strong foundation without committing to a longer training program. During this program, your dog will learn: Loose-leash walking Sit Down Place All dogs are kenneled in a 4' x 6' kennel within a climate-controlled building that remains at approximately 68 degrees during the summer and winter months. the building is maintained with a security system, smoke & fire detection, and cameras. dogs have access to a private 4' x 4' outside area via a dog door to get some fresh air and return inside when they wish. Where will my dog stay during the board and train?
We have a climate controlled facility with 4 x 6 foot kennels with a dog door that leads to a controlled 4 x 4 foot outside kennel. So..if your dog gets hot they can simply walk inside and get out of the heat.

At the end of the board and train you can expect to spend 1 to 2 hours with me so I can train you up on the commands and the ecollar (that we give you)

We normally start training at 5 months for our board and train programs. If your dog is younger than that we can conduct one on one obedience training.

I was overwhelmed with a new puppy when I found Alamo City Dog Trainers online. I took Alder, my puppy, to meet Abe and find out about the board and training programs Abe offers. After just a few minutes, I felt hopeful and less anxious about having a puppy.
Alder did the two week board and train with Alamo City Dog Trainers, and the change in his behavior has been amazing. Abe’s kennel and training facilities are at his home, and he treats the dogs as his own. When I went to pick Alder up, he was happy, excited and following commands! Alder had obviously been well cared for. Abe worked with the two of us before sending us both home to continue our training. I appreciate that Abe is available for additional help and that I can board Alder at his facility when I leave town. Abe’s pricing is competitive, but he offers what most training facilities don’t - payment plans! This option helped me, a retired teacher, get training for Alder that I knew I could not do on my own. Alder and I both had a great experience with Alamo City Dog Trainers!

Abe transformed our dog for us. We dropped off an insane puppy who didn’t listen unless bribed by treats. We got back a dog that knows commands without any incentive. He houses the dogs in a super nice climate controlled kennel with their own personal potty area. He is also a veteran and was very accommodating of my military schedule.

I had a really good experience with this dog training program. It was a two-week program, and I saw great results with my dog. It was fun being able to see the progress as the trainer posts daily videos showing the training.
After the training was completed, I really appreciated that he took the time to offer me a one-on-one training session. He walked me through exactly how he worked with my dog so I could continue reinforcing everything at home. That extra support made a huge difference and showed how much he genuinely cares about both the dogs and their owners.
I highly recommend this program to anyone looking for real results and a trainer who goes above and beyond!

We sent our dog, Oli, to Alamo City Dog Trainer for a two-week program and had a fantastic experience. It's always tough leaving our dog for that long, but it was clear he was well taken care of the entire time. We enjoyed the daily progress videos! We've seen a massive improvement since he's been back. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, professional trainer.
