He is so gentle and willing to explain things repeatedly and never gets frustrated with me. He is awesome with our pup and so encouraging. Words can’t express how grateful we are we found Rich. Training with Rich (Akina K9) has been the best thing to happen to my dog, Chico, and I. Rich has always been extremely patient, helpful, and professional. He explains his training so that everything makes sense to the dog handler. Training sessions and group classes are always fun and useful. It's hard to put into words how grateful we are to have found Rich. My dad adopted Alfie from a rescue and we fell in love with him instantly. The only problem was that he had a long list of issues and we were told by some people that he was a lost cause. From reactivity to dogs and people, resource guarding, separation anxiety, aggression, it looked like we had taken on more than we could handle. He was destined to live a life locked in the house. I can happily say that in less than 2 months, Alfie is well on his way to live a more fulfilled life and it's all thanks to Rich. Our ultimate goal was to have a family BBQ attended by Alfie and my own dog, Jess. Because Alfie has made such great progress, that will happen in the next week. Rich is so patient and knowledgeable. Every week we were sent home with clear written assignments. If I had a question during the week, he was available via text. We even spent part of our class time in the parking lot to work on Alfie's reactivity and separation anxiety in my car. BTW, I hardly ever write reviews. In this case, I had to make an exception. This is the best investment you can make for you and your dog. Rich, thank you for helping us communicate with Alfie better and for opening up a whole new world for him.

Rich was extremely helpful and everything we needed in a dog trainer for our adopted 2 year Aussie. Right from the start, he helped us teach him basic and advanced commands, proper control in different situations, and how to look for bad & good signs in our dog's behavior. We also agree with his method of training balancing obedience and freedom with our new dog. Just a handful of weeks of training with Rich and hole reinforcement led to huge improvements in our new dog.
