I don't usually write reviews, but I want others to know there is hope for dogs that seem uncontrollable. We adopted Gus, a 6-year-old Border Collie/Blue Heeler/Aussie mix. We didn't understand the breeds but he was beautiful. He didn't understand English-something we weren't told upfront. While obedience school taught him the basics and his new name, he remained unmanageable at home and in public, frequently jumping, biting and stubborn. He was very reactive toward other dogs, so we had no choice but to leave him home alone, and this saddened us greatly. Desperate for help, we consulted out vet, who suggested possible medication or, given his breed mix, euthanasia. Heartbroken, we sought other options. A friend whose brother, also a veterinarian told her of a client of his whose dog had gone through a remarkable training program with Agoge Pets in Hartsville, TN and suggested we give them a try. After a pleasant initial consultation, Agoge Pets created a plan for both Gus and us. Through caring yet firm training, they completely transformed him. Gus returned home calmer, happier, and manageable. The process trained us as much as it did him, and we couldn't be happier with the results. During one of the socialization trips, someone even offered to buy him; his trainer, Bryan Rojas, laughed it off, knowing Gus belongs to us. Although we don't live on a farm, Gus is now a cherished and loving family member. He is still a driven working dog, but he is also now content, happy, peaceful and obedient. We owe this second chance to Agoge Pets and his trainer Bryan Rojas. If you're at your wits end with your dog, give Brian Ferguson a call at Agoge Pets and give them a try. You will not be disappointed.
