July, 2019: I have a five year old frenchie and a 9.5 year old English bulldog. The frenchie shows signs of stress, dominance and is aggressive with English bulldog. In the last few months he has been starting fights with the older dog and it was getting out of hand. I called Leonard a week ago and he was patient enough to listen to my long list of concerns and was even able calm my anxiety. He pretty much was able to figure out the underlying issues over our phone call. Today we met for about 2.5 hours and almost immediately the frenchie was obedient and not stressed. While he was extremely honest and called me on my habits, I couldn't be more grateful for what I know is going to come from the boot camp. I'll report back in three weeks but there is no doubt that Rupert (frenchie) will come home less stressful and calm. I. Can't. Wait. UPDATE: August, 2019: It has been about 5 weeks since my frenchie has gotten back from boot camp and I can't believe the results. His stress has subsided and he respects the English bulldog his space. When we go on walks, he completely ignores other dogs and remains calm in the process. Life is so much less stressful and manageable without the frenchie acting out. I am in disbelief how much Rupert has changed and so very grateful for Lenonard and everything he has done to help out situation. I would recommend Leonard a million times over!

Leonard is the best trainer! This is our second dog we sent to him because of the success we had with our first dog. Both our dogs are very different, so it is a true indicator that Leonard is equip to train all types of dogs. Leonard trained our 7 y/o yorkie to follow commands, walk on a leash, as well as helped with ease his anxiety. Our dog had eye problems and would constantly lick his feet. We had to put socks on our dogs feet to keep him from licking. The vet put our dog on a daily allergy medication. It was expensive and had residual side effects. Through the training, all the health problems went away and he is no longer on the allergy medication. Our dog returned from his 3 week training with Leonard a much happier, well-trained, and relaxed dog.

Leonard is great. I had a small puppy who just turned 1 who was 95% perfect but was honestly a little racist as a rescue and was starting to nip at men and bark at strangers. I didn't have control over her. I could give her commands but she knew she was the boss. Leonard is very smart, clearly has been working with dogs for many years, and knows how to get the relationship you want. He gave me a 45 minute conversation on the phone before we event started and put lots of time into myself and my dog. I wish I could have visited her more, but I am sure I could have asked. He focused on the things I wanted fixed with her and solved them. I haven't had an opportunity to cash in my life time guarantee because she hasn't had problems yet, but I look forward to having that to fall back on. This was overall an amazing purchase and I highly recommend it and would do it all over again if I had another dog or if I plan on getting one.

This was the hardest phone call I've ever made.... and probably the most informative conversation I've ever had. My only wish is that I made the call 5 years earlier. I don't think I would ever rescue a large dog (even a puppy) without investing in training up front. I certainly wouldn't consider myself a novice pet owner. I've had Animals my entire life. I even volunteer for a local rescue. Taking the time to talk to me on a Sunday afternoon was amazing in the best of circumstances. A family members dog had become aggressive "overnight ". To learn that's the behavioral issues were there all along and we didn't recognize them was literally a wake up call. Could he hurt my daughters other dogs? My grandchildren? My daughter? When I made the call I was looking for an easy solution.. what I got what was the most common sense approach to training that I have ever heard. I'm a fan- I really don't know how to say it better than that. Aggressive behavior-is just what it is - aggressive behavior. Could it manifest itself by attacking another animal in the family? Could it turn towards a child or even an adult? The simple answer is yes. Training doesn't just involve the dog- it's the whole family and if you do it right- it mean you, your family and your beloved dog can live harmoniously. Ignore the signs - it could bring tragedy. The most no nonsense and knowledgeable trainer- I've ever talked to.

We had the privilege, and honestly luck to have found a professional who delivers what he offers...change. If you are not prepared to acknowledge the role you play in your dogs “bad/problematic/dangerous” behavior, Leonard and his expertise is not for you. Prior to meeting with Leonard last week for a private 1:1 assessment, he took the time and energy to speak to us on the phone and provide suggestions that would keep us safe until we could meet with him for skills that would help us identify warning signs and take back control of a situation with our dog we had otherwise lost hope of ever achieving. Last weekend was a very emotional experience for me because it became so clear what I had been doing incorrectly as a dog owner. I appreciate Leonards patience and non judge-mental demeanor as I worked through what I would need to change in my own behavior in order to see change in my dogs behavior. He really can help you and your family out. We have tried other services and trainers and this is the first time we have seen and walked away with change that will forever positively impact our family (thank you Leonard). Our work with our dog is by far not done, but WOW, if you need a customer review to assure you Leonard and his services are the real deal, please know this is written with honesty and after a long hard week of sticking to Leonards training. I am exhausted (it’s been like having a toddler with all the things we are doing differently) but am SO incredibly proud of the results we are seeing. Like I said before, if you are COMMITTED to the well being of your family’s health and safety as well as your animal companion, and COMMITTED to making changes you may not “like” and aren’t always “easy,” Leonard at dominant dogs is the way to go! This is skill and training for life! Not a quick fix. Thank you thank you thank you Leonard; we have told so many people about you and the impact you made so far. I hope other dog owners who are struggling and have lost hope, find you also.
