Aft Dog Training

Before we experienced training with our rescue dog at AFT, we had used a well reviewed trainer with no luck and honestly just worse behavior after it seemed. Our dog started with AFT for private sessions about 6 weeks ago with anxiety, little to no confidence, fear of other dogs and reactivity especially with male dogs, messes in the house, destruction, reactivity on and off leash with new people and a few other behavioral issues. Now today he graduated a confident happy boy with new skills and a new confidence. He plays amazingly with other dogs even male dogs, no longer leash reactive on walks (thank you prong collar), no more house messes no more destruction, and follows command like a champ 99% of the time... he has come so far and we owe it all to the amazing trainers at AFT and their knowledge of the proper tools and guidance on how to use them to help pur dog be the best he can. We cant wait to continue with more training for any future dogs as well!

When I arrived with my already obedient, yet poorly socialized duo I wasn't sure what to expect. My dogs respected me and followed my leadership but they constantly growled at each other in our home and lashed out at each other from time to time. This escalated out of control in the confines of our car. I was fearful every time I put them in the car that they would seriously hurt one another. AFT took the time to get to know my dogs and created a plan catered to their unique issues. Throughout the entire process they have been available via email and their facebook community to answer any questions or concerns I had. Step one was to get them both on remote collar. Having the ability to communicate clearly with them during their times of frustration with one another quickly remediated their issues. I am happy to say that car rides are peaceful and free of any of their old behavior. My pups never learned how to communicate properly with each other, let alone other dogs. This was a huge factor that caused their ongoing tiffs. In addition to remote collar,  Anthony immediately recognized this issue and started integrating them into his pack. I haven't seen them behave so well around 7 other dogs in my entire life! Because we solved our main issue so fast, we were able to work on some underlying issues with fence aggression and anxiety with children. Anthony's daughter even got involved in one of our sessions to help my pups work through their fear! That kind of exposure was priceless and I can't wait to continue this training in our final session where we've been invited to their Kids Camp to fully immerse my dogs around calm, respectful children. AFT's personalized approach has lead my pack to a much happier and healthier life. I cannot thank you enough!

My dog, Koda, finished up a board-and-train program with AFT 3 weeks ago. She was severely leash reactive, especially toward other dogs, and it made day-to-day activities like walks extremely stressful and challenging. After she redirected by biting my partner, we knew we had to do something different. We had taken her through a basic obedience class and had watched lots of training techniques online; though some helped, none addressed the leash reactivity problems. We heard about AFT through friends and decided to give it a shot. Fast forward to today - Koda has gone on several hikes with no issues, her behavior on the leash is drastically different, and her life and our lives are so much better for it. The staff at AFT - Karen & Zaiah especially - are so kind, caring, and thoughtful. They really care about the dogs and are dedicated to figuring out individualized solutions for their issues. They have also been extremely responsive as we have run into hiccups since we've been home, and offer great ongoing support. I would highly recommend AFT for leash reactive dogs (or any dog!) and can attest to the effectiveness of their methods. Our top priority through this process was to ensure that Koda's life was better and I can say definitively that it is!

I HIGHLY recommend AFT Dog Training! AFT has the best dog trainers in the area. They are all do dedicated and caring when it comes to their customers and their dogs. Before we found AFT, went to another dog trainer in the area and we were told that our dog wasn’t trainable and that some dogs just have bad genetics. Thank goodness we heard of AFT through a friend because we almost lost our sweet pup due to the previous training and what we were told. AFT has changed our lives with their training. We were so satisfied that we even brought our other dog to them as well. They’re very helpful all the time, whether your dog is currently in one of their trainings or completed a training. We seriously cannot thank Anthony, Zaiah, Karen, and the rest of the AFT crew enough. So thankful and beyond satisfied! I would give them 10 stars if I could.
