Adventure Gundogs

After taking my German short hair to a guy in the Boise area and being disgusted and heart broke. I found Don online took my pup to him. When I arrived at Dons kennel he got aquatinted with my dog who was nervous. After he settled down Don brought out a bird and introduced it to the dog. In about a half hour later the dog could locate the bird. I was told by the other guy that my dog was no good and wouldn’t hunt. Don assured me there was nothing wrong with my dog I left my dog with Don for 30 days and when I returned to pick him up I had a dog I could take hunting who could find birds point them And I could shoot over my dog!!! In fact Don took me to his hunting spot and we hunted my dog and shot a few quail. You can’t ask for a better guy to train your pup!!! I couldn’t be happier with my interactions with Don he has a proven method that can’t be beat in my opinion. There is no alternative. Don is an excellent trainer who takes time with your dog you will get results with Don not excuses!!

Our family first brought our male pudelpointer to Don two years ago. He is a fine dog with the best breeding in the country right now, but he needed concentrated time and training we just didn’t have the bandwidth for while running our business and raising teenagers. We really wanted superior dogs, and couldn’t have been happier with how he progressed in the time he spent in training. This year, we added a one year old female PP that Don has started, and we can’t wait to see how these dogs do together in the field. Having come from a background of mostly flushers, Don has helped me to understand what makes pointers tick and how to live and work with them so that they are excellent companions both in the field AND at home.

Don is the best! We were neighbors for 20+ years, and in that time i’ve had the pleasure to hunt behind some of the best dogs in the world with him. He is a natural trainer, whether dogs or horses, if Don spends time with them they will excel to their full potential. Don cares deeply for all animals and is a wealth of knowledge for their health and well-being.
