Advanced K-Nine Training

Let me start by echoing what many have already said on this site. Mike is an amazing trainer! We took our 5-year-old rescue German Shepherd Haley to Mike because we were unsure whether she would listen to us in key situations and how she would behave around our young grandchildren. Haley responded to Mike immediately. Within the first few sessions she followed every command without hesitation. Mike’s techniques enabled us to eliminate the few irritating behaviors Haley had developed before we adopted her, and the results are lasting as we continue to use Mike’s methods. It is a joy now to take her on walks without her pulling us all over the road. We are now able to have her in the yard without a leash and she stays with us regardless of distractions from other animals, people, and vehicles. We are absolutely delighted with the results. We met Mike back in 2018, when we selected Advanced K-Nine Training to train our dog Kali, then a 6 month old Czech Shepard. We did the 5 day option. Kali really responded well to the training and learning the commands easily (well, Mike makes it look easy!). The time Mike spent with us on pickup day helped us know how to keep up the training. Six years later, Kali is still great at her commands. Our experience was so good, I went back to Mike this summer to train my daughter’s dog, a smart but stubborn and high strung 1 year-old husky-mix. Mike had his work cut out for him with Zeus. We went with the 12 day option, and I’m so glad we did. Zeus knows and follows all his commands and is much more polite to be around. When he gets worked up, we put him in climb/stay, which he then holds like it’s his job. It has reduced the stress in our home when he comes to visit! Considering the 10-15 years we hope to have our pets in our lives, the investment of time and money to ensure that pet & person are “speaking” a shared language is invaluable. Mike’s process makes the whole process seem like magic. Especially if you schedule it while you are out of town anyway! You won’t be disappointed!

Training your dog isn’t cheap but my 7 month old puppy Bowie was “dragging” me around on walks & would not go inside without carrying him, he weighed 33 pounds at that time & was only going to get bigger & less manageable! After talking with & meeting Mike I decided to invest the time & money to enroll Bo in his 12 day obedience program. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! He is GREAT on leash & follows instruction so well! Bo is now nearly 9 months old & 47 lbs! Without Mike’s excellent training I know I couldn’t manage him! If you’re thinking about a trainer for your dog I highly recommend Mike & Advanced K Nine Training!
