Adams K-9

The Adams K-9 team is awesome and we recommend them to all our local dog parent friends! Our dog is smart and sweet, but we knew we were adopting her with some behavioral issues so we immediately enrolled her in their Play and Learn program. This was our first experience with professional dog training. Our "good dog" turned into a freaking fantastic dog! After her initial training, we were encouraged to attend the group classes for their graduates - which we regularly did. These were especially helpful for accountability and to offer guidance as we took the reins of her training. If you send your dog to Adams, be sure to take advantage of the group class opportunities! Adams K-9 is truly committed to their dogs. Your support doesn’t stop after the training or group classes end. Our dog went through their program 2 years ago, but just the other day we had a meeting with them about some goals for our dog and how we can achieve those goals. Another thing we like about Adams is that they offer doggie daycare and boarding too! We don’t need to use these options very much, but when we do, it’s really nice to send her to a place she’s familiar with and to people who trained her. After this experience, we can honestly say that we will always get our dogs professionally trained - preferably with Adams K-9. We expected to get a changed dog, but what we didn’t realize was that this would change us as dog parents. As ridiculous as it sounds, we have such high expectations now for how dogs should behave. Having a trained and polite dog means she will get welcomed into more spaces and ultimately open up the world to her. For everything that dogs give us, we owe that much to them. Plus it's just nice to spend more time with them.
