Acadia Canine Academy

I have to say I talk to a lot of people daily about their dogs, and numerous times I can train their dogs BUT, this was a situation that is going to evolve into a dog fight with three females in the household, two of which are dominant. I forget whether there was an infant child in this scenario, it might have been another person I spoke to yesterday. These poor people know the answer of what they have to do in order to manage their pack, but they need to be enlightened with sensitivity and vast experience from a trainer such as myself to enable them to make the decision they intuitively know what they have to do which is sometimes rehome one dog to restore calm within the pack. The one person I spoke to yesterday did have an infant child.And that child was only one year old. That child witnessing a vicious dogfight, is traumatizing, even though it may not yet be able to speak. The child is first and foremost. Dogs are secondary when it comes to a child. I will admit.It brings me joy when I can help people, but I have to weigh it against my precious time at sixty nine years old, having done this for thirty five years. When there are children involved, it becomes my priority. Thank you. Danielle for allowing me to be of service to you and your pack. It's not all about the money! Being honest is first and foremost in my world of dog training. I never take people's money for what I can coach them to do without them having to pay unnecessarily. Sometimes it's necessary for the owner to do the corrective action and not a dog trainer. Whenever a dog challenges pack members, it's necessary for the pack members that have been challenged to respond appropriately to earn the dog's respect. We are not that company that takes people's money for their dogs to do what they can do themselves. It was a pleasure Joseph. Well wishes for the holidays Joseph!

A lovely couple with a lovely dog, Goose. Goose the goober!!! It is so enriching to experience dog owners like Michael and Talya with their love and devotion to their dog. Dogs like Goose are not the easiest to train. What was most delightful was videoing the reunion of Goose and Michael and Talya when they picked up Goose. If I could only post the video here, others would understand why we do what we do for dogs and their owners.......they bring joy to our lives.
