We are thrilled with the results of our German Shepherd’s month long stay with Joey. Prior to his training, our dog pulled like crazy on walks, was very reactive when seeing other animals and dogs, and was going through a phase where she would not listen to us. Since she has been home she is walking like a whole new dog, listens to our commands and has gotten better with other dogs. Joey continues to answer our questions and will definitely be there as a support system as we continue to train our girl! 10/10 recommend!

Joe was beyond excellent with my dog Zora & I cannot thank him enough! When we brought Zora to Joe, it was after exhausting all other options—she was both people and dog reactive, as well as inconsistent in her response to commands and redirection. She was hesitant and fearful of lots of things despite trying other training programs and interventions through our vet. Even though Zora was not warm towards Joe when she arrived at his home, he never turned his back on her. He spent a full hour with us just at drop off, easing her into the kennel and explaining the process to us the entire time. From that point forward, we knew Joe wasn’t going to give up on our girl until she was confident in herself and able to be the best dog that we knew she could be. While with Joe, she opened up to him and his dogs; learned off leash commands and attention; and even went into stores and public places without any incidents. When she came back to us after a little over 2 months of work with Joe, she was almost a completely different dog! She was more relaxed and attentive, and she wasn’t timid or triggered by the world around her. He spent time with us showing us how to continue training efforts at home and even provided us with the tools to do so. He made clear that he will continue to support us on this journey with Zora, and we could see that she truly trusts and respects him. We started this journey unsure of if we could provide a home for Zora where she and us could be safe, and, after Joe’s intervention and training, we now know that she can be a forever part of our family. We are excited to keep working with Joe to support Zora as she continues to be her best, happiest dog self!
