Absolute Angel Dog Training, LLC

We chose Absolute Angel due to our vet recommending, when we first got our golden retriever puppy, Kaia. We chose the Superior Canine Elite program due to my husband and I working full time, and we knew that getting the most basic training required would need to be intensive. We knew we would not likely carry the initial training over to the degree that Laura would on a full time/all day basis so we went for it! It was absolutely worth the money. We realize we are very fortunate, and not everyone can afford to do this, but I promise it is worth it. Laura took a sweet little puppy born on a farm who had zero training, and transformed her into a sweet little puppy with manners and awareness of structure! We loved how well she learned not only the most basic commands, but that we feel safe knowing that we have training ourselves on leash behavior, off leash safety and access to a full library and camera equipment to document and ask Laura as needed ever after the training was over. Our puppy is going through a "terrible twos difficult phase" at the moment, and the best part is Laura provided us with every tool we need to go back and refresh ourselves again and again! Without this program I believe we would be struggling, googling and getting many different ideas on how to handle this very active and energetic golden, but with Laura we ALWAYS know what to go back to and where! Laura was great with our dog Koots! My husband and I talked to a couple different trainers, but Laura was the most genuine in our initial meeting, plus Koots loved her 😉. Before we started I was nervous whenever I took him out in public because of how he would react to other dogs. Now, I feel a lot more confident reading his body language and using the training Laura taught us to distract him and continue to work on positive reconditioning. It was great that she came to our house so we could go on a walk in the most common environment for us and she could show us how to use the training. I would definitely recommend Absolute Angel Dog Training if you’re looking to help a reactive dog!!

We would leave Laura 10 stars if we could! She is a consummate professional in every way: her training, attitude, patience, communication, respect, and on-time arrival. Absolute Angel Dog Training, under Laura's leadership, offers 3 different training programs, depending on one's needs. We opted for the weekly at-home visits for our miniature poodle, Cutler. Cutler, an 8-month old puppy, needed to learn the basics - sit, stay, off, down, drop-it, touch, come, and a version of heel. My husband and I needed to learn the language that would keep that training in place while understanding how dogs think and what makes them more likely to respond. Between Laura's visits, we used her clear, concise methods to teach Cutler all of the things we wanted him to know. Laura came prepared with print-outs, sent videos, and provided us with tracking tools. She demonstrated training methods and walked us through carrying them forward between sessions. Now, Cutler doesn't jump on visitors, he comes/sits/stays on our command, drops items we don't want in his mouth, and immediately gets off of furniture we don't want him to jump on. We no longer have to worry that Cutler will run into danger or become an uncontrolled nuisance when we travel or take him out of his home environment. When looking for a dog trainer for my giant breed 9 month old puppy, I wanted someone who used positive reinforcement instead of punishment. I found Laura at Absolute Angel Dog Training when i completed a Google search. I was delighted when she returned my email quickly & we set up an appointment to meet each other. I chose the Sainthood program because my puppy & i needed all of the basic command training offered. Prior to training, my 100 lb puppy took the lead on our walks which could have led to serious injury for both of us, especially me, since I am way past retirement age. Upon completion of Laura's Absolute Angel Dog Training program, my giant breed puppy & I could take walks using a loose leash instead of being dragged. I've trained many dogs using punishment with slip leads instead of positive reinforcement & I prefer positive reinforcement because he is happy & motivated to work. I highly recommend Laura at Absolute Angel Dog Training for any puppy/dog training needs you may have. Not only is Laura an expert in her field & a good instructor, she is patient & always positive.
