Above the Standard Dog Training

I have been very pleased with the response of the 4 week training of my 4 year old boxer. He had reactive anxiety that I honestly thought would never be fixed until his time with above the standard. I can now walk him and control him in my house without the worry of his reaction. They have given me the tools and confidence to work with my dog. These individuals and trainers really care about the dogs and the outcomes for the owners. My entire experience has been amazing and I highly recommend using beyond the standard for any training.

Ive known Jay and the crew as they’ve boarded my English Setter for over a year now. I didn’t do my initial obedience training with them because quite honestly I didn’t know they existed(I totally would and should have). When Birdie turned about a year old, we had a couple of incidents with her and the kids. Nothing major- but definitely something I wanted to get ahead of. Emily and Jen came over for an evaluation and were very honest about the program they’d put together. My goal was simple- let’s get Birdie to start making better decisions when she is in uncomfortable situations. Goal achieved. Jay took her for a 2 week board and train and created a few maintenance techniques for use to use around the kids. Like any dog training- if you don’t keep up with the training when your dog gets home. It’s a waste of their time and your money. If you follow their direction and maintenance plans… you will end up with an incredible dog. Consider this group friends of mine now and am very happy with the result of OUR effort with Birdie. HIGHLY recommend this team!

This training amd breeding program is the best out there!! They need and trained my dapper gentleman Rouey who is a SD for Mobility, Stability, retrieval, and aniexty! Not only did they do an amazing job of raising Rou and making sure he was as desensitized as possible at a young age but they did an excellent job with the health testing and genetics when it came to the actual breeding!! They helped train not only my dog but myself! This way Rou and I were able to find a common way to communicate and build our bond! The compliments Rou and I get when we are out. Not only on his looks but his behavior is always Above The Standards Credit to take!!! And they are always so reliable on answering questions or helping with issues even after the go home!! Above the Standard really hold their quality up to their name!!

We definitely had a five star experience with Above the Standard Dog Training. We were a little apprehensive in leaving our puppy with them for 3 weeks but seeing how professional and caring they were with dogs at the facility eased our minds quickly. Our goal was to have a dog that we could take almost every where with us. We have taken Red to outside restaurants , the beach, walking in public areas, staying in campgrounds, etc with no issues after the training.
