FirstBarkI would highly recommend ABC for your dog training, it's made my life so much easier! I have 2 dogs that are rescues, one of which is 10 months old I thought would be nearly impossible to obey any commands until Robi worked with us. We are almost done with the course and I can't believe how far both have come as far as obeying commands and overall behavior.

ABC Obedience Dog Training has been helping you to train your dog for over 30 years in the greater New Haven/Shoreline area. Group classes start with our specialized Puppy Kindergarten Program that is a combination of management, psychology, actual training, obstacles and social play. PK is for puppies age 12 to 18 weeks old . Beginner groups are open to all dogs, regardless of experience, any age. Private sessions available in your home, our facility or out and about in the community. Private sessions are great for that individual attention. Call for more information or visit our website. Our OFFICE hours seem limited, but we are working most days, often returning calls between classes or here teaching. Leave a message anytime.

I love ABC!!! I first met Robi (the owner) back in 2009 when I got my first dog. I had had dogs before but they were the family dogs. I work as a vet tech and have seen what poor or improper training can do. I knew some training things but wanted Maggie to be socialized as well. Our beginner class was AMAZING!!! Robi will correct you right away, (don't feel embarrassed because trust me, EVERYONE in the class will be in this position) she will show you how to do it properly and then show you how you were doing it, and OH BOY do you ever notice a difference. I have gone back for some tips, treats, my newest rescue LOVES to chew so we have to go and get Maggie a new gentle leader this week, and my girls will be coming with for the trip. And the gentle leader?? That was Robi. We were in class and Maggie wasn't listening, pulling, wanting to play, nothing we did got her attention (I think she had doggie ADD), even Robi tried, she got Maggie's attention but it only lasted a few seconds. That's when Robi said to try it. That was 2 1/2 years ago, almost 3. Maggie loves it!! You squat down to her level (shes just above knee height) hold it open and just ask her if shes ready to go and she will stick her face right in it. I wouldn't recommend or trust anyone else with training classes other than Robi and ABC Obedience.
