A Very Good K9

We used Austin and Haley to train our border collie/lab mix last October. He went through the 2 week train and board program and came back much more confident (he is a very shy dog) and following commands. He has done especially well with the "Place" command - we can actually have dinner without him on our lap! Austin came out and showed us a bunch of great tips that we continue to work with, and Finn is really much easier to take out in public and interact with others. We really appreciate how much they did for us!

Haley is incredibly talented. We started with training & were so impressed, totally trusted her with boarding him while on vacation. She has a gift with dogs, which is obvious when you see her interact with one. We never hesitate to leave our furry child with her, he is thrilled to see her every time, which speaks to her gift. The comfort of leaving our dog at a home instead of a facility cannot be overstated.

Haley and Austin trained my very stubborn but lovable corgi and I can’t say enough good words about them. I use him for boarding now when I travel and he gets so excited when I drop him off there. They always send me adorable photos and updates. It’s great to have consistency with people that work with and know your dogs in general but especially because they use his ecollar and can keep his behaviors in check. I feel completely comfortable leaving him there and I know they love him too! They also made some recommendations for raw diet because he was having some knee issues and it worked! The price is pretty low compared to average boarding and he gets so much more in a smaller environment where he is comfortable and with two top notch dog pros! So grateful for them.

We sent our dog, Maizie, for a two week board and train with Austin and Haley. Maizie is a high energy breed with a stubborn streak, and we were looking for help with finding her “off switch” and on-leash manners. With consistent updates about her progress over those two weeks, we always felt confident that she was in safe and great hands. At the end of the two weeks, we had a phone call where they explained she was still working on a couple of things, so instead of sending her home “unfinished”, they kept her a couple of extra days to make sure she met her potential. At the end of her stay, they came to our home to teach us and give us all the tools to help carryover all of the amazing skills Maizie learned. We now have the tools to help her find her “off switch”, take walks without pulling on the leash, and confidence with foundation for off leash recall and house manners. I would HIGHLY recommend A Very Good K9 for all your dog training needs.

We had our mini bernedoodle puppy attend the 2 week board & train with A Very Good K9 and had nothing but a great experience. At the time Ruger was only 7 months old and we were looking to build a foundation for basic on leash obedience, as well as the 'place' command. Throughout his stay with Haley & Austin we received photos and videos of his progression. When he was brought home, Austin spent an hour with us walking through each of the commands and how to correct them if he (Ruger) were to test us. It has now been 3 months since Ruger has come home from his board and train program and he's a pleasure to bring with us anywhere, doesn't pull on leash, obeys his sit/down command, will hangout on his 'place' (his bed in our living room) while we cook dinner, eat dinner, enter the house etc... as well as fly into his 'place' (his crate in our bedroom) when we need to leave. -Dominique
