A Very Good K9

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND A Very Good K9 - Haley and Austin are fantastic! Their passion for dogs is inspiring. They understand how the dogs think and learn. When Captain and Morgan came back from their board and train, we could tell right away that they were different. They were more than just obedient. They were confident and eager to be challenged. Haley and Austin nurtured these attributes out from the dogs. The best part of the “dog’s” training has been the time Haley and Austin spent teaching us. We really enjoyed their efforts to guide us to be better dog owners. So much knowledge for us to act on to help us grow in our relationship with Captain and Morgan. We can’t say enough good things about A Very Good K9. We came to them with a very high-drive dog, whom we were struggling to manage, and they were incredibly helpful from the very beginning. They took the time to talk us through our options and helped us make an informed decision about whether sending her for training was the right choice. What really stood out to us is that they didn’t just train our dog, but they educated us, too. They taught us how to better understand her and, most importantly, how to communicate with her. Not every challenge magically disappeared with training, but we now have the tools to communicate with each other and work through things together. That has made an enormous difference in our lives with her. Their support also didn’t end when the training did. They have continued to be an amazing resource whenever questions come up, and their communication is more than we ever could have hoped for. It’s very clear how much they care about the dogs they work with and the people who love them. My husband and I took in a German Shepherd back in December who had been left in a kennel for 3 years of his life. We were not expecting to take on another dog, but knew he deserved another chance. We welcomed him in with our 10 year old Czech Shepherd. Very quickly, we learned that he hadn’t been taught any basics or manners around older dogs but didn’t mean harm at all. Our 10 year old shepherd quickly got tired of correcting which lead to my husband and I having to interject often to prevent escalation. I reached out to A Very Good K9 with the hopes they could help us teach some manners and basic obedience to make everyone a bit happier. He went on the 5 week adventure program. We received regular updates and were so happy with his progress. Now that he is back, he knows exactly what’s expected of him with basic commands, understands boundaries and the two of them play more than they ever did. We highly recommend Haley and Austin. They helped us set our dogs up for success with everyone being much happier now.

I cannot say enough good things about A Very Good K9. Our dog started with puppy lessons and then did the board and train program. Puppy lessons were so helpful in building a great foundation with our pup. The board and train program was the best decision we made! We felt so comfortable having her stay for a few weeks. Especially with the frequent updates from Haley and Austin. Our dog came back so confident and ready to take on real world situations. I can tell she had so much fun with the other dogs and that they helped each other grow during their time together. She came back to us with a full understanding of her e-collar and Haley gave us a full run-down on how to successfully use the e-collar ourselves. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend them to any dog owner. We are so thankful that our girl knows how to self-regulate and respond in situations but also that she can enjoy off-leash freedom! Haley and Austin will truly value, love and respect your dog as one of their own.
