What are your fees for taining and what specific training do you offer?
Our fees vary depending upon the service provided! We offer positive reinforcement training in private sessions for basic skills and tough behaviors, group classes, and drop off day training; together with grooming and cooperative care training sessions! As of 7/2024, our fees start at $160 for six week outdoor agility classes, $199 for our 6 week indoor basic skills classes, and go up to $350 for or reactive dog classes. Private lessons start at $100. Behavior consultations start at $250.

I could truly write a novel about how much I love A Pleasant Dog. My vet recommended them after one of my dogs was having significant behavior changes after moving to our new home. We saw head trainer Jenn for private training, and she was able to identify subtle signs of pain and anxiety, referred us to a arthritis specialist, and put a ton of tools in our tool box to work through our dogs fears. Within 3 sessions, he was back to his happy self! We now bring our other dog to the group classes and she has been thriving! Parker and Gin are incredible classroom teachers and even though you’re in a group setting, you get one-on-one attention if you need it. We also use the cooperative care grooming service for her as well, and Jennifer is incredible with our girl who is fearful of new people does not like nail trims. You truly cannot go wrong with any of their services. I feel so lucky to have this incredible facility in Grand Rapids!

My two pups struggled with separation anxiety for years. I tried numerous trainers and vets to get them the help they needed. It wasn't until I found a Behaviorist that listened and referred me to Jenn and A Pleasant Dog. Through medication and training they have made significant progress. So much so that I've gained a big portion of my own life back. I am so grateful to Jenn, her help and her techniques. I could not recommend A Pleasant Dog more highly. Forever grateful.
Jenn and the staff at A Pleasant Dog are amazing. My dog has some significant behavioral issues and really bad anxiety. We were on the verge of euthanasia due to the severity. They helped us come up with a plan and work with us on ways to manage his anxiety, and teach new behaviors. They work closely with our vet as well. They are truly a God send.
